Day Day 3 Started
The penultimate day of the 2010 PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour is upon us with Day 3 of the Cebu Main Event expected to be as exciting as the previous three!
The 236-player field has been reduced to a final thirty-five with everyone looking to sweat out just seven eliminations until we reach the money of a guaranteed PHP 150,000 ($3,417) payday. However, it will be the PHP 5,810,000 ($132,346) first place prize that all will be aiming to capture while also becoming the next APPT Cebu Champion!
Korean Kim Gap Young is the best placed with a towering 393,600-chip stack; over 160,000 more than his nearest rival. Andrew Hinrichsen (230,200), Mikael Rozen (225,400) and Jukka Juvonen (198,900) will all be looking to close the gap on Young, while Day 1b chip leader Mike Puno (170,000), Ivan Tan (159,600), Inwook Choi (152,900), Nathaneel Seet (134,600) and Richard En (108,500) still can’t be ruled out of contention.
Play is set to begin at 12:15 pm PHT with the PokerNews Live Reporting Team providing the exclusive live updates as we play down to the APPT Cebu Final Table!

The cards are in the air with the button in seat four.
Fabiano Michael opened to 8,000 from early position and was met with three callers.
The flop landed and two players - Max Bloom and Jukka Juvonen - would commit 12,000 each as the rolled off on the turn.
Bloom checked and Juvonen fired out an 18,000-chip bet which was called by Bloom before the landed on the river.
Juvonen made it 29,000 once Bloom checked, and just like the previous street, he check-called only to muck at the sight of Juvonen's .
As Bloom slips to 70,000, Juvonen climbs to roughly 300,000 in chips.
On a flop of , Ross Parkhill fired out 7,100 with Young-shin Im making the call as the rolled off on the turn.
Parkhill fired out 13,000 only to have Im bump it to 44,000. Asking for a count of Im's remaining chips, and then pausing for a few moments, Parkhill opted to move all in for roughly 150,000. Im made the call for her 114,600 total to see the cards placed on their back.
Parkhill:
Im:
The on the river would see Im find a double to 250,000 as Parkhill slipped to 43,000 in chips.
Thomas Spegar found himself all in preflop against fellow short stack Ross Parkhill.
Spegar:
Parkhill:
The board ran out to see Spegar catch his three-outer to remain alive with 60,000 as Parkhill slips to 14,600 in chips.
With the board reading , Gordon Black fired out 12,000 only to have Edwin Marzan move all in for 50,000 as Black instantly made the call.
Black:
Marzan:
With Marzan a near lock for a double holding Broadway, the river of the would see the pot chopped up as Black would find the Ace from Space to save him losing over half his stack.
