Petersen Surviving

PokerStars Team Online Pro Mickey 'mement_mori' Petersen has sat behind a small stack of chips for most of the day but has just managed to pick up some much needed chips.

The under the gun player limped before two more players limped. Petersen was on the button when the action came to him and it didn't take him long to slide his stack in the middle. One limper asked for a count before getting out of the way when he found out Petersen was all in for almost 9,000. With the rest of the players out of the way, Petersen took down the pot and survives with 13,000

Ivey Getting Them Back

Phil Ivey has got a few chips back to see his stack again sit around 75,000.

We came to the action with Ivey in a raised pot and a flop showing {5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and with Ivey up against two opponents.

A check from one players prompted a bet of 2,600 which Ivey called before the original checker got out of the way.

The {7-Spades} on the turn would see the aggressor continue, with him throwing out 5,000. Ivey then casually dropped three 5,000 denomination chips on to the felt.

Ivey's opponent thought for a while before deciding to let his cards go, sending the pot to Ivey.

Vos Picking Up Chips

Level 6 : 300/600, 50 ante

We came to the action with a flop showing {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Mark Vos in a hand against one opponent.

Vos made the call when his opponent led for 2,150 and the players watched as the {j-Spades} hit the turn.

The turn card prompted Vos' opponent to tank before checking, while Vos quickly decided to check behind. The {2-Spades} on the river would see both players again check.

When Vos' opponent turned over {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, Vos threw down his {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}, enough to take down the pot.

"I thought i was in fronr on the flop, but thought i'll just call and see what happens," Vos said as he raked in his new chips.

Powell Makes a Good Call

On the river, the board read {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Julian Powell was faced with a bet of 3,800. He tanked for some time before eventually tossing in the chips to make the call. His opponent acknowledged that she was beat by tossing in her hand face down. Powell tabled the {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and won the pot. He's over 60,000 in chips now.

Zheng Stacking Up

Jackson Zheng is currently sitting behind one of the largest stacks in the room and we caught the action in a hand which recently added to his growing stack.

It was a raised pot which saw four players, including Phil Ivey, watch as a {3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop hit the felt.

Ivey checked, along with two players behind him, before Zheng fired out 3,500. Ivey got out of the way, while the player to his left decided to check-shove. The action was back around on Zheng and he made the call.

Zheng: {5s4s}
Opponent: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Zheng had flopped the nut straight, but would need to dodge some clubs if he was going to stay alive in the 2011 APPT Macau Main Event.

The {j-Hearts} on the turn and the {5-Hearts} on the river would be good for Zheng as he sent his opponent to the rail and started stacking up his new found chips.

Lucky Me

From the button, Phil Ivey raised to 2,000. The player in the big blind made the call and the two of them took a flop of {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}. After the big blind checked, Ivey bet 3,000. The big blind called.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river completed the board with the {5-Clubs}. They both checked again.

The big blind showed the {5-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a rivered pair of fives and Ivey mucked his hand.
