Bentley Near The Top

Wayne Bentley keeps raking in pots, and he just added some more to his big stack. Bentley explained he called a raise with sevens, after which the flop brought {7-}{4-}{5-}.

Bentley called another bet on the flop, after which the turn brought an {8-}. The agressor kept betting, and Bentley called again. On the river the board paired with a {4-}, and the action was checked to Bentley who bet 42,000. He didn't get a call, but still managed to win a decent sized pot.

Grigg Gets Tartaglia To Fold

Tom Grigg raised to 3,500 under the gun, and Tony Tartaglia three-bet to 7,600 one seat over. The action got folded all the way back over to Grigg who made the call.

The flop brought out {Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}, and the action was on Tartaglia since Grigg had checked in the dark. Tartaglia checked as well giving us turn action.

On the turn the {6-Clubs} hit, and Grigg bet 8,600. Tartaglia tanked for a bit and called. The river was the {10-Clubs}, and Grigg threw out a hefty 28,800-chip bet.

"If you rivered a flush you're the best," Tartaglia said as he gave it some serious thought. A minute went by, but he ended up folding.

Bain Booming

We noticed Tristan Bain getting busy in a hand against two opponents. By the time we arrived at the table, all the chips were in, with an at-risk player holding {a-}{a-} against Bain's {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

We asked the table how the action played out and they were happy to let us know. Apparently it was folded to the cut-off player (the one with the aces), who opened the pot to 4,500. The player in the small blind then three bet to 9,500. Bain, looking down at his trusty nine-deuce, cold four bet to 19,300 out of the big blind. The cut-off player moved all in for 53,000 here and the small blind got out of the way. Bain opted to call with his hand and was not in good shape against the aces.

The devastating {5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Spades} board was awful for the player with aces and they were sent home, while Bain is sitting pretty.

Anunu Doubles Through Skender

Benn Skender called a min-raise to 4,000 from the hijack, and Mishel Anunu grabbed hold of the situation by moving all in. The initial raiser folded, and Skender called for a total of 25,500.

Mishel Anunu{Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

Anunu was in great shape to double up, and the board ran out {4-Spades}{8-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Skender still has a big stack after this hit while Anunu is back in the hunt.

Don't Fear, Tom Grigg is Here

Tom Grigg was among the biggest stacks in the room, but a massive pot just launched him into the lead. A neatly stacked 451,000-chip stack caught our eye, and Grigg brought us up to speed with what just happened.

A player raised to 3,500 pre flop, and both Brendon Rubie and Tom Grigg called. The flop brought out {J-}{3-}{4-} with two clubs, and the initial raiser checked. Rubie took a 7,200-chip stab at the pot, and Grigg flatted.

The initial raiser was far from done with the hand, since he put out a big stack of yellow 5,000 chips. This got Rubie to fold, but Grigg wasn't going anywhere. He moved all in, and his opponent called off the remaining chips.

Grigg showed a set of treys, and was up against a pair of queens. The turn and river brought blanks, and Grigg grabbed has a massive lead.

Gill Gets There

Nurlan Boobekov and Oliver Gill are sitting next to each other on the feature table and have certainly been butting heads. They continued that very recently, with Gill managing to come out on the winning end.

We arrived at the action on the {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, with Boobekov leading for 10,700 from the small-blind position. Gill was on the button and moved all in for 70,100. Boobekov went into the tank here, eventually calling and turning over {k-Spades}{8-Clubs} for middle pair. Gill held {a-Spades}{2-Spades} and was looking for a spade to catch up.

The {8-Hearts} on the turn gave Boobekov trips, but the {7-Spades} on the river would send the double up to Gill.
