Didier Guerin will have to chase his dreams of winning the ANZ Player of the Year next season, as he has just been eliminated from the 2012 APPT Melbourne Main Event.
Guerin three-bet shoved holding on the button. Mile Krstanoski woke up with in the small blind and the player who opened the pot got out of the way. No help came for Guerin on the board and he was eliminated.
Michael Kanaan is one of the chip leaders now, courtesy of recently eliminating two players. One of those players was the 2011 Aussie Millions Main Event champion, David Gorr. At this point, Gurung mucked his cards and Bentley scooped up the large pot. Bentley went for a little walk after that, looking a little flabbergasted.
Tam Truong raised pre flop to 6,500 and the action was folded to Michael Kanaan who three-bet to 15,000 from the button. Both blinds folded after which Truong four-bet to 31,500.
Kanaan wasn't giving up as he put in a fifth raise to 57,000. Truong tanked for a bit, but eventually laid his hand down. Kanaan immediately turned over , and showed his opponents he's not scared to put in chips.
