No Help For Levy

Grant Levy started the day as one of the short stacks and was going to need to do plenty of work to make his way into the money. Unfortunately Levy's tournament has now come to an end, with his stack all in preflop holding {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} against Keith Walker's {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. The board ran out bricks and it was home time for Levy. The silver lining - it's Father's Day and now Levy can go enjoy the afternoon with his family.

The Punjabi Train Keeps Rolling; Gill Busto

Oliver Gill was one of the most talkative, cheerful players left in the event, but his run just ended.

"I guess he wasn't making a move," Gill sighed when he got his chips all in on the turn with no possible outs.

Gill kicked things off with an under the gun raise to 9,000, and Punjabi defended his big blind. The flop brought out {3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, and Gill put in a 9,000-chip continuation bet. Punjabi went for a good old check-raise, and threw in 20,000. Gill called.

On the turn the {K-Spades} came off, and Punjabi fired out a hefty 30,000 bet. Gill moved all in almost instantly, and got snapped off by his opponent.

The river was the meaningless {2-Diamonds}, and Punjabi jumped the ranks. He's now second in chips behind Wayne Bentley.

No More Miles for Krstanoski

Folded to Liam O'Rourke in the hi-jack seat, he would open it up to 8,500. Mile Krstanoski was on the button and would three-bet 22,000. Back on O'Rourke and he immediately shoved all in. Krstanoski called and the two players turned their hands over.

Krstanoski: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
O'Rourke: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Krstanoski would need some help to survive, but that help would never come, with a {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} board sealing the deal for O'Rourke.

Hachem Runs Into Bills' Aces

Only a few hands after he managed to secure a double up it was Tony Hachem who got eliminated. Hachem raised to 8,500 from the hijack, and James Bills opted to three-bet to 19,000 from the small blind. Hachem called.

The flop brought out {6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, and Bills bet 27,000. Hachem moved all in for right around 115,000, and Bills called immediately.

Tony Hachem{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
James Bills{A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}

The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, and the river the {2-Diamonds}. Hachem got knocked out, and Bills is one of the chip leaders.

"How many hands can I run into," Hachem sighed as he shook some hands before leaving the tournament area. We are now down to 37 players.

Gunther Doubles, Punjabi Still Fine

We arrived at Table 29 with a {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop out on the felt and with Gunther Hornung getting all his chips in against Karan Punjabi. Hornbung held {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for a flopped set, too strong for Punjabi's {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Hornung stayed in front as the turn and river bricked out and that was that.
