Fan Spikes Set to Double

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

After shoving the hand previously, Terry Fan moved all in for 65,000 and Jan Bendik called in the big blind.

Fan: {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Bendik: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The {A-Clubs} in the window saw Bendik take the lead, but when the flop filled out {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Fan was now squarely in the lead. The turn and river landed the {j-Spades} and {3-Spades} and Fan doubled to 140,000 while Bendik was left with 53,000.

Tang Chips Up

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Devan Tang limped in from the small blind and Andrew Lam raised to 13,000. Tang called and then proceeded to call 15,500 on the {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} board as the {8-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Lam fired out 30,000 and Tang called before Lam fired for a third street as he bet 55,000 when the river landed the {5-Clubs}. Tang called, and when he tabled his {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, it bested Lam's bluff with {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

Jan Bendik Eliminated in 20th Place (HK$198,000)

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Jan Bendik - 20th place
Jan Bendik - 20th place

Yat Wai Cheng opened to 10,500 and Jan Bendik called from the big blind to see a {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{Q-Hearts} flop. Bendik checked and Cheng bet out 7,000 only to have Bendik move all in for 55,000 with Cheng instantly calling.

Bendik: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}
Cheng: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

With Bendik needing a spade, the turn of the {3-Diamonds} and river of the {A-Clubs} wouldn't be what he was after as he was sent to the rail in 20th place while Cheng moved to over 860,000 in chips.

Tong Spikes the River to Survive

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

After Peter Ping San Chan opened for 11,000 on the button, a short-stacked Ling Tong three-bet all in for 54,500 from the small blind. Chan made the call and the cards were turned up.

Tong: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Chan: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Chan was in a dominating position, and he stayed there through the {3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop and {5-Hearts} turn. Much to Tong's delight — and his girlfriend's on the rail — the {J-Spades} spiked on the river to give him the improbably three outer.
