Play resumes at noon local time and will commence until a winner emerges. Be sure to keep it here throughout the day as the quest to crown a new APPT champion concludes.
The first hand of the day has resulted in the first casualty.
The action folded around to Daniel Demicki in the cut off who raised to 20,000. Junichi Nakagiri then moved all in for his remaining 68,000 from the small blind. Jason Mo folded his big blind before Demicki made the call.
Demicki:
Nakagiri:
Nakagiri was in great shape to double up until the board ran out to see Demicki spike a pair on the river resulting in the Japanese player hitting the rail.
The action folded to Daniel Demicki who raised from the small blind to 25,000 and Shintaro Baba moved all in immediately from the big blind. Baba was all in for right around 140,000 and Demicki called instantly.
Demicki:
Baba:
The board ran out and while it looked like Baba was going to receive a double up, it was the river that sent him to the rail.
Daniel Demicki kicked things off with a raise to 20,000 from under the gun. The action folded around to Tai Tan on the small blind who moved all in for 291,000 in chips. Demicki looked over at Tan’s stack before making the call.
Demicki:
Tan:
Tan was trailing against the pocket pair and would find no help as the board ran out to see him eliminated in 11th place.
Quad jacks for Demicki see him soar up to 1,260,000 in chips.
Tyler Jennens raised to 20,000 from the cut off and was called by Boris Li in the big blind.
The flop came down and Li checked. Jennens reached for his chips and threw out another 20,000 in chips and was met with an instant announcement of all in from Li. The bet totalled around 140,000 in chips and Jennens made the snap call.
Jennens:
Li:
It was Jennens’ straight draw up against Li’s flush draw. The gave both players a pair but Jennens was still in front with the higher kicker.
The completed the board seeing Li miss out on hitting his flush or two pair and narrowly missing out on the final table.
The action started with Jason Mo raising to 28,000 from under the gun plus one. Takuya Suzuki was seated to his left and moved all in for around 340,000 in chips. Suzuki then watched as the table folded back around Mo who instantly made the call.
Mo:
Suzuki:
Suzuki was in trouble against the monster pair and would find no help as the board ran out to see Mo’s hand improve to trip kings on the flop.
On the hand that directly followed Takuya Suzuki's elimination it was Daniel Kneafsey who moved all in for 159,000. From Kneafsey's immediate left it was Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang who shoved as well, and the other players folded quickly.
Kneafsey:
Huang:
The board ran out and Kneafsey hit the rail in eighth place taking home a little over 20 million Korean Won.
The action folded around to Vladimir Demenkov in the small blind who moved all in for his remaining 68,000 in chips. Bryan Huang asked for a count from the big blind before making the call moments later.
Demenkov:
Huang:
The board ran out to see Demenkov improve to a pair on the flop only to see Huang hit a straight on the turn to eventually win the hand.
