Wang Grabs the Lead

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ye Wang has won a couple of pots, and now he is up to 540,000, positioned as the chip leader of the event.

In the biggest of his recent pots, he was against Sahil Chuttani, and hit a flush on the turn, after defending from the big blind. He led both turn and river, for 28,000 and 108,000 respetively, with Chuttani calling both streets to see the bad news.

The bubble play continues, with Xingbiao Zhu as the shortest stack.

Yang Zhang Eliminated in 7th Place

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Yang Zhang

There were two or three short stacks in the table, but it wasn't one of them that busted on the bubble. Ye Wang had the lead and kept on pressuring his opponents by shoving many of his hands preflop.

On one of these occasions, he was on the button and shoved again, with Xingbiao Zhu in the small blind and Yang Zhang in the big blind. Zhu folded quickly, but Yang Zhang called even quicker, risking his more than 30-big-blind-stack.

Ye Wang: {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Yang Zhang: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The flop gave the lead to Wang immediately, falling {7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{k-Hearts}, the {j-Spades} turn added some outs to Yang's hand, but the {4-Spades} on the river wrote the epilogue for Yang Zhang. The runner-up of this festival's Main Event is the bubble boy of the final High Roller, and all remaining players have secured a place in the payouts.

Double-Up for the Short Stacks

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Liuheng Dai and XIngbiao Zhu were short stacks and they both managed to double up during this level.

At first, Liuheng Dai was with {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} against Hao Tian's {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}. The board ran out {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Dai doubled-up.

The same happened with Xingbiao Zhu who picked up {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} and was against Ye Wang's {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. The flop gave the lead to Wang with {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, but the {8-Diamonds} on the turn and the {j-Hearts} on the river returned the pot to Zhu.

XIngbiao Zhu is the first player to bust in the money, and it was in a brutal way. Zhu was in the big blind and was holding the best hand in no limit hold'em when he saw Ye Wang shoving from the small blind. He called and the two players tabled their hands.

Xingbiao Zhu: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
