Thompson Back Cruising

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Things looked dire for a while on the second bullet for Gary Thompson, who had won the Super High Roller in heads-up against Michael Soyza yesterday. However, he bounced back to move past the starting stack and just now claimed another pot.

With some 15,000 in the middle, Thompson bet the {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} river for 12,500 when checked to and his opponent let go.

Conroy Scores a Double

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

With some 15,000 to the middle until the {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, Shaun Conroy pushed all-in and his opponent also got his chips in with a near identical stack.

Conroy was marginally ahead with {a-Spades}{k-Spades} versus {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and dodged all diamonds as well as the queen on the {3-Spades} turn as well as the {4-Hearts} river. Both stacks were counted and his opponent was left with a mere 400 and in the big blind next.

Kiwanont Scores Two Knockouts in a Row

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Dazhang Chen
Dazhang Chen

Dmitriy Tsoy was flipping for more than 40,000 with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} against the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} of Sukhum Kiwanont and failed to hold up on a {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades} runout.

Soon after, the hijack opened to 2,300 and Dazhang Chen three-bet jammed for the 14,200 he had behind. Kiwanont reraised to 35,000 and the initial raiser folded.

Dazhang Chen: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Sukhum Kiwanont: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The dominated pair found no fortune on the {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs} runout as Kiwanont sent the next opponent to the rail.

Nguyen Forces Out Huang

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Bryan Huang raised it up from the hijack and Minh Anh Nguyen defended the big blind. On the {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop, Nguyen check-raised from 1,400 to 3,700 and Huang came along to see the {3-Diamonds} turn. Nguyen bet 5,000 and Huang called.

After the {q-Clubs} river, Nguyen bet again and Huang folded.

Keay's Wild Ride Continues

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Luke Keay
Luke Keay

Luke Keay's stack has been all over the place and he scored yet another double up to get back to six figures. Once more he clashed with Sokmeng Hun when they got it in after the {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} flop with Keay at risk for 46,100.

Luke Keay: {j-Spades}{9-Spades}
Sokmeng Hun: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {7-Diamonds} turn changed nothing much but provided some split pots. Keay then got there on the {4-Spades} river to score the double.

"The Show Must Go On"

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Konstantin Pogodin
Konstantin Pogodin

Konstantin Pogodin was down to a single T-100 chip and survived to be then all-in for 200 chips in the small blind. Huu Dung Nguyen min-raised for the big blind to call, who then check-folded the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop.

"The show must go on," Pogodin joked as he revealed the {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. He was ahead versus {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and that remained the case on the {8-Hearts} turn and {7-Spades} river.

Pogodin then lost the last 1,400 chips to Jose Colada shortly after, exiting the table with a "good luck guys".

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Heads-up to the {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts} turn with some 28,000 in the middle, Hamish Crawshaw checked his option. He then faced a bet worth 3,000 by Meerwais Hussaini and quickly surrendered to see his third bullet plummet all the way to half the starting stack.
