Rick Ambata bet the 10♣7♣4♦3♥ turn to get called by Zhiqiang Liu and then bet the 10♥ river for another 15,000. That had Liu's remaining chips covered and the player from China eventually called.

Ambata rolled over the 6♥5♥ for the seven-high straight and Liu briefly exposed the 5♣5♦ before storming out of the tournament area. It was the second bullet for Liu on Day 1b and he can only enter the turbo heat in the evening anymore.

With some 15,200 in the middle to the 8♠4♥2♦ flop, Jaejung Kim bet 5,000 and Jose Colada called after some consideration. The 5♦ fell on the turn and Kim pushed all-in near instantly. Colada called after a few seconds for 20,400 and was ahead.

Hyun Hong Lim raised to 1,000 and Richard Marquez was among the three callers. Andrew Nguyen then popped it up to 7,000in his very first hand out of the big blind. "I like it," Marquez grinned. There was no call as Nguyen raked in the pot.

One table over appears to be the current chip leader as South Korea's Siyoung Lee already increased his stack five-fold.

Day 1b has already attracted a staggering 517 entries to push the overall field size to more than 900 and the second flight is only in level five.

Magdagasang continued for 5,500 only for Perez Bell to check-shove. Alkhamisi reluctantly moved all-in and Magdagasang folded the A♣K♥ face-up with a smirk on the face.
