The initial raiser called with the J♦J♥ and Platon's 10♦9♦ bricked the 4♠ turn and 3♠ river. However, the double didn't last long as the player bowed out soon after.

At the start of level eight, the Day 1b field reached 608 entries with around 380 players remaining and this has boosted the overall attendance to 1,003 entries. This is significantly more than the 2022 edition but a new record for the PokerStars sponsored APPT Main Event in Manila is still a ways to go, as more than 1,324 entries would be required.
