Hello Kitty

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Kitty Kuo has joined the fray and was involved in a four-way preflop pot putting in 450. The dealer put out {10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Kuo called a bet of 850 to get the pot heads up.

The turn card {7-Spades} and river {8-Clubs} were checked and Kuo waited for her opponent to show his cards. Instead they went in the muck and Kuo took the pot with now information revealed except that she will not be pushed around.

Buchanan Flushes Kihara

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Naoya Kihara opened the action with raise to 600 and it folded around to Shawn Buchanan who called from the cutoff. The button and blinds folded, leaving the two heads up to the flop.

The dealer fanned {4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Kihara continued out with a bet of 800. Buchanan stayed the course and the {3-Diamonds} hit the turn to complete both the straight and flush possibilities. Kihara bet 1,700 and Buchanan thought for about 30 seconds before dropping out another call. The {A-Diamonds} on the river put four diamonds on the board and Kihara slowed with a check. Buchanan checked it back, prompting Kihara to roll over {6-Spades}{4-Spades} for flopped trips. The Canadian had that beat, however, as he showed {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a flush.

Buchanan raked in the pot and now has about 36,000.

Funny Aces

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

There was an open to 600 from early position and Toby Lewis came along from late position as did big blind Ivan Soshnikov. Three player saw a flop of {2-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and it would be Lewis who called the continuation bet of 775 to get the action heads up.

A turn card {a-Clubs} saw Lewis call a bet of 1,925 and the dealer put out a river {a-Spades}. The original raiser checked and then turned his head away from the table, seemingly chuckling at the third ace on board. Lewis wasn’t laughing though and he bet 5,000. That saw the pot pushed his way.

Soshnikov All Smiles

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Toby Lewis opened the action for 400, picked up one caller and then faced a three-bet to 1,500 from small blind Ivan Soshnikov. The big blind folded but, with chips in the middle and a pot to contest, the other players put out the required amount.

A flop of {9-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts} was met with a continuation bet of 1,500 from Soshnikov and two folds as the pot was pushed his way. Soshnikov suddenly became animated and took his earphones out as he saw the other player was a fellow Russian friend and he was laughing appearing to indicate that he hadn’t expected that result or wasn’t completely aware that he was still in the hand.

Cohen Folds River

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Pawel Zawadowicz and Sam Cohen looked down at a flop of {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}. With 1,150 already in the middle, Zawadowicz checked his action over to Cohen. She took the chance to fire 1,000 into the middle and Zawadowicz stuck around.

Fourth street was the {J-Clubs} and Zawadowicz checked for a second time. Cohen thought for a moment before tapping the table in reply. The {5-Diamonds} finished off the board and Zawadowicz reached for chips, moving 2,100 past the betting line. Cohen let go of her cards, leaving her with just around 6,500 in chips.
