A short-stacked Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier was all in pre-flop for his last 1,675. Grospellier held A-K against the Q-T of his opponent. When all was said and done, the board read A-J-5-8-K. Paul Gianfriddo Doubles Up

Paul Gianfriddo moved all in pre-flop for his remaining 1,250 and got a single caller. Gianfriddo showed {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} which was slightly ahead of the {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} of his opponent. The flop helped neither player, but the {A-Hearts} gave Gianfriddo all the help he needed to survive the hand and double up to about 2,800 chips.

Jonathan Pelletier moved all in for 6,000 from middle position. Action folded to Graeme Putt who made the call from the cutoff seat. The players showed:

Putt: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Pelletier: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Putt took the lead. The turn and river brought the {3-Hearts} followed by the {3-Diamonds}. Putt's aces were best and he sent Pelletier to the rail and increased his stack to about 20,000.

Paul Gianfriddo
Just before the break, Paul Gianfriddo was eliminated. Here's how the hand played out. Paul Gianfriddo limped in under the gun. The player on the button called, as did the small blind. The big blind checked his option and the four players saw a flop of...

{K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Gordon Black, playing from the small blind, bet out 400. Gianfriddo made the call and the other players passed. It was heads-up to the turn, which came the {3-Diamonds}. Black again bet, this time 1,000. Gianfriddo then moved all in for 2,125 total and Black made the call. The players showed:

Black: {Q-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Gianfriddo: {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

The river brought the {Q-Clubs}, filling Black's full house and Gianfriddo was eliminated.
