Raymer Moves All In and Takes the Pot

Greg Raymer raises to 1,000 and is called by Eric Assadourian. Isabelle Mercier then re-raises to 4,500 and both Greg and Eric make the call. Greg and Eric both checked the flop of {K-Clubs}

and Isabelle bet 11,000. Greg then moved all in and both players folded.

Chris Moneymaker Eliminated in 9th Place

On a flop of {9-Hearts}

Hachem led out 5,000 and Grant Levy made it 17,000 to go. Chris Moneymaker then pushed all in with {A-Hearts}

and Joe makes the call with {10-Hearts}

. Levy goes into the tank and eventually lays down {J-Hearts}

face up. The turn was the {4-Clubs}

and the river the {2-Clubs}

and Hachem took down the pot whilst yelling "One Time! One Time!!", eliminating Moneymaker.

Isabelle Mercier Eliminated in 8th place

On a flop of {A-Diamonds}

Raymer leads out 10,000 with {4-Diamonds}

and Isabelle Mercier re-raises all in with {A-Clubs}

. Raymer calls instantly with the flush. Mercier doesn't improve and Raymer's hand holds up.

Sydney vs Melbourne

Sydney based player Eric Assadourian has just taken a good sized pot away from Melbourne based Joe Hachem with a raise on the flop of {A-Hearts}

. There is alot of pride on the line in todays event for all players, but in particular the Aussies. No Victorian likes losing to a New South Welshman and vice versa. Hachem therefore has it extremely tough today as he is up against two confident and passionate Sydney based players in Eric and Grant Levy.
