Pardon the Interruption

Dan Ginnane of Australia's PTI
Dan Ginnane of Australia's PTI
Dan Ginnane, who serves as the "Stat Boy" on the Australian version of Pardon the Interruption (PTI), has been spotted on table 10 mixing it up with Team PokerStars Player Masa Kagawa. Ginnane would be the Australian equivalent of Tony Reali, who doubles as the host of Around the Horn.

Ginnane currently has about 15,500 in chips and seems to know his way around the poker table. We'll keep you posted on his progress throughout the day.

Adriano Cendron Surges

Adriano Cendron has now amassed close to 80,000 in chips after cracking the pocket aces of his opponent with a set of tens. The action came on the turn with the board reading {3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. Cendron checked his set and let his opponent lead into the pot. Cendron then raised all in and was called quickly. The {7-Hearts} on the river was enough for Cendron to rake in a huge pot and put him amongst the tournament leaders.

Tony Hachem Eliminated

With the board reading {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} Tony Hachem and Michael Haddad were both happy to get all of their chips into the middle with Hachem holding {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for the rivered straight. However it turned out to be the river from hell as it also gave Haddad the nut flush with {J-Spades}{A-Spades}, sending Hachem home early.

Berec Doubles Up

On a board of {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}, Berec got his opponent to put in his remaining chips with {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, only for Berec to show {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a ten high straight.

Berec loudly shouted in elation, "Ship it!" - a remark he has used a lot in the past with special reference to his success in the 2007 Crown Victorian Championship Main Event.

Chop Chop!

A short-stacked Sid Kim called for his tournament life holding {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts} on a board of {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}, but when his opponent, Michael Haddad, revealed {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}, it looked as if Kim was heading home. However the turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the river {K-Spades} and the dealer was left to "chop it up" as both players shared the king kicker and split the pot.

Scotty Nguyen Starts To Move

After establishing a tight image at his table, Scotty Nguyen is now starting to assert himself at his table. On a flop of {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, Nguyen check-called a 2,100 bet from his opponent. Then when the turn brought the {8-Diamonds}, Nguyen lead out for 4,000, forcing his opponent to lay it down. Nguyen is now up over 25,000 in chips.
