Mike "Timex" McDonald Eliminated

Mike "Timex" McDonald was just sent to the rail by Andrew Scott.

Preflop, McDonald made it 350 to play and received two callers. Andrew Scott, in the small blind, raised it up to 1,700 and McDonald was the lone caller. The flop came {Q-Spades} {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds} and Scott checked to McDonald who moved all in for 5,500. However, a snap-call from from Scott revealed {10-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}, leading McDonald's {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}.

Time to Turn the Volume Down?

A disgruntled Dennis Huntly

The noise from the celebrities and media mingling and having fun up in the High Rollers area is starting to become quite a distraction to the players still in this tournament.

Dennis Huntly was recently eliminated and conveyed to us his annoyance at the level of noise coming from the Celebrity Event. He was sitting very close to the High Rollers area and conveyed to us that he could hardly speak or be heard at his table due to the noise. With two emcees roving around the tables, interviewing the players, it's dominating the room at the moment while our players are still battling it out for an Aussie Millions title.

Time for the iPods!

Delaney Gets Creative

Just before the break, and interesting hand went down involving PokerNetwork Young Gun of the Month, Ben Delaney.

David Heskin opened the action by attempting to limp. However he tossed out too many chips and was held to a minimum raise. Jimmy Siu and Steve Leonard made the call, before Ben Delaney attempted to steal the pot with a raise to 2,000. Heskin was the only caller and they saw a nine-high flop heads up.

Delaney checked to Heskin who moved all in. Delaney snap-called with {J-?}{9-?} to have the best hand against Heskin's {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. The turn and river bricked out and Heskin hit the rail as Delaney's move paid off with a nice pot. He's now up to 18,000 chips.
