Heath Chick Eliminated; Scott Continues to Climb

PokerNews' popular blogger Heath Chick is out.

Chick opened to 500 and was raised by Jie Gao to 1,500. Chick called and they took a {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop.

On the flop Gao led 1,500 and Chick raised him to 4,500. Gao bet to 16,000 which would commit both of them to the pot. Chick moved all of his chips and Gao called turning over {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} for top set against Chick's {k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}.

The board completed {j-Clubs} and {5-Spades} to eliminate Chick. Gao moves up to 48,000.

Stewart Scott playing under the PokerPro screename "Reigning Champ" continues to look good in the tournament. He just eliminated his second victim of the tournament and moves up to 58,000.

With Chick's elimination we have 78 players left in the tournament.

Carwash George Contending With A Wall of Daniels

Daniel Neilson is sitting with guys named Daniel on either side of them. All of them have gone with the creativity of their names for their PokerPro screenames.

"You guys playing as a team", asked "Carwash" George Cotaidis, as he took on Daniel Neilson in a pot.

With the boarding {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} Cotaidis was facing a 4,200 chip bet from Neilson. After taking some time to make his decision, he said, "I'm all in" before hitting the fold button on the control panel.

"Surely his verbal bet is binding", said Neilson with a grin. Before we had a chance to report it, Neilson decided to show us what he had.

"If you're going to blog it, you have to let them know what I had", he said, showing the {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} on his panel.

Neilson and Jeffreys No Longer Around

Daniel Neilson and Andrew Jeffreys have exited the tournament area, after being eliminated.

We caught Neilson on the way out and asked for the run down on his elimination. With a smile on his face he told us, "I put it in with king high, and found I wasn't good".

Break

The remaining 72 players are taking a break.

Sean Dunwoodie, Heath Chick, Andrew Jeffreys and Daniel Neilson have all departed before the end of the first session.

Screename Fun

As apart of the PokerPro system each player has to enter a screename that is displayed in front of them.

Some of the better one's around the room at the moment:

Michael Guzzardi - Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Aaron Benton - TheLuckBox
Stewart Scott - Reigning Champ
Jonathan Karamalikis - Adgee

There is also unknown players with "Isuldurrrrrr" and "Badbeatasaurus".

Who knows Isuldurrrrrrr, could be isildur1? He may be trying to rebuild in $550 MTTs.

Steicke Stumbling

David Steicke, who's renowned for playing the majority of the biggest tournaments around the world, is playing the lowest buy-in event on the Aussie Millions schedule.

He started out well enough but has stumbled of late.

We caught Steicke in action on the turn against Heinz Kamutzki. On a board of {6-Spades}{A-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} Kamutzki led 4,000 which Steicke called.

The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Kamutzki bet out 10,000, which Steicke tanked before calling as well. His automuck kicked in, when Kamutzki rolled over {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for a set.

Next Steicke was in action against Michael Guzzardi on a board of {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Guzzardi bet a tiny 2,400 on the river and Steicke made the resigned call, before making good use of his automuck again, as Guzzardi rolled over {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

Steicke is down to 16,000.
