Nikkaka Doubles, Demetriou Dusted

Nick Kakalis has doubled through in dramatic circumstances.

Kakalis was in a commanding position when the money went in with {A-Hearts}{k-Spades} up against the {A-Clubs}{q-Spades} of Shannon Vandenberg.

That all changed post flop with {6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} hitting the flop and putting Vandenberg well out in front.

But he hadn't counted on Kakalis catching runner -runner to stay alive. The {10-Clubs} hit the turn and the {j-Diamonds} river to move him back to 54,000 and put a slight dent in Vandenberg's stack.

Andrew Demetriou's stack looks to have been absorbed into Stewart Scott's mountain of chips. We'll see if we can chase up the details.

Some Genuine Threats Emerge

Gary Benson has played a solid game most of the day and has recently got a good run to emerge as the tournament chip leader with three tables to go. He has a big threat at his table though with second in chips Michael Dix also at his table.

If they get in a big pot, it could go well over 300,000.

Chris Brammer Moves Over 200,000

Chris Brammer has just moved over the 200,000 chip mark, as he now sits on 220,000.

Brammer got into a pot with Peter Smyth recently. On a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{q-Hearts} Smyth checked to Brammer who made a half pot bet of 8,000. Smyth called and the {4-Hearts} hit the turn.

On the turn Smyth led 16.000 and Brammer made the call. The river was the {10-Hearts} which both players decided to check. Smyth would muck when Brammer turned over {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a flush on the river.

Not Balanced

There's a slight imbalance in the final two tables. One table is loaded with big stacks and the other is full of shorties. We're sure to see some fireworks soon.

Khoueis Doubles Up

Suzy Khoueis has taken a few of Chris Brammer's chips with a double up.

Brammer raised to 10,000. Khoueis moved all her chips in the middle and the two went to the flop.

Brammer: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Khouiss: {4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Flop: {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The turn brought the {k-Clubs} and the river {3-Spades} sealed the deal for Khoueis.

Brammer is still sitting pretty with 248,000 and Khoueis has 80,000.
