The short-stacked Minh Trinh has sent to the rail in unfortunate fashion. Trinh was all in with and in great shape to double up against David Frieling's but the board fell to give Frieling a pair of kings on the turn to take it down.

Gus Hansen opened up the action from late position to 13,000 and David Olson, on the button made it 45,000. When it got back to Gus, he moved all in and Olson made the call.

Hansen doesn't lose flips, and this had was no different with the board coming , knocking out Olson in 61st place and getting Gus up to the 500,000 mark.
Paul O'Brien is back up to 95,000 in chips after a recent double up through Chris Gillard.
Gillard opened with a raise to 12,000 and when the action reached O'Brien, he moved all in for 40,000. Gillard made the call, tabling . O'Brien one-upped him with a pocket pair of his own -- tens.
A third ten fell on the flop, giving O'Brien a set and the board paired on the turn (and again on the river) giving him tens full to win the pot.

Van Marcus has been eliminated from the tournament in 60th place. We missed the action as it happened, but Marcus was kind enough to relay the basics:

Topakas then checked, Friedlander bet 10,000 and Topakas moved all in for a total of 26,000. Friedlander made the call holding and Topakas managed to spike a fifth club on the turn, leaving Friedlander drawing dead, with 250,000 in chips left to his name.
Catching the action on a flop of , Trevor McCormack led out for 13,000 from the big blind and Frederik Jensen made the call on the button.
They saw the hit the turn and McCormack fired out another 19,000. Jensen again made the call and the hit the river.
McCormack came out swinging for a third time, releasing 25,000 into the pot before Jensen announced a raise to 100,000. McCormack made the call but Jensen tabled for a rivered full house and the best hand as McCormack flashed a and mucked.
Jensen is up to 550,000 with McCormack slipping to 260,000.
