Dan Smith limped his button. Carlos Mortensen quickly moved all in. "I was planning on going for the limp and then the all in" Smith said, leaning back in his chair. He asked for a count. The shove bet was 7,650.
"Is king jack good?" Mortensen nodded. "Do you promise?" Mortensen shook his head to that one.
"You know, if you're lying, we can't be friends anymore," Smith warned. "And my birthday is coming up, and I throw a great party."
Eventually Smith decided to fold. "You win this round, Carlos." Then Smith asked if he paid Mortensen $25, could he see one card. But before he'd even finished the question, Mortensen turned up the

Smith tossed him a green chip while lamenting the timing of his offer. "What a terrible turn of events!" he shouted, laughing.
The next hand, Smith had Mortensen all in and at risk.

flop. And he gave a fist pump when the turn made him the nuts and had Smith drawing dead. The river was inconsequential, and Mortensen picked up a W in the third game. With that, he won the match 2-1.
Mortensen moves on to play Barry Woods. If Mortensen win that match, he will be declared the winner, and Smith and Woods will play for second place. If Woods wins the next round, then Smith is back in it with a chance to win.
