Daniel Laidlaw Eliminated in 9th Place (AUD $13,500)

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Daniel Laidlaw- 9th Place
Daniel Laidlaw- 9th Place

Aussie online phenom Ben Delaney has been playing an uber-aggressive game throughout the last two days and he's reaped a lot of chips. He's also managed to get lucky as well - a key ingredient to winning tournaments - and this time, Daniel Laidlaw was the latest victim to fall ill to Delaney's rungooditis.

Delaney raised to 8,000 before the flop and Laidlaw shoved all-in for around 120,000. Delaney called, tabling {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} which trailed Laidlaw's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

Delaney binked big time on the flop of {J-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{J-Spades} and his full house held all the way as the turn and river bricked out {3-Hearts}, {5-Diamonds}. Laidlaw picks up a healthy AUD $13,500 for his ninth place finish.

Stuart Macleod-Smith Eliminated in 8th Place (AUD $13,500)

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Just as Daniel Laidlaw had departed from the Crown Poker Room, the cry of "All in, call" went up once again from the feature table, where Stuart Macleod-Smith had gotten the last of his money into the middle on a flop of {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades} with {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

The only problem was that Simon Charette had double-fist-pump-snap-called with {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Macleod Smith could only watch as the turn and river ran out {4-Diamonds}, {3-Spades} and Macleod-Smith was sent on his way to pick up AUD $13,500 for finishing in eighth place.

And just like that folks, we're down to our final seven!

Ben Vinson Eliminated in 7th Place (AUD $15,750)

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Ben Vinson - 7th Place
Ben Vinson - 7th Place

The hits just keep on coming! This time, Simon Charette hit a huge two-outer to eliminate Ben Vinson and we're now down to just six players!

The action folded to Vinson who raised to 9,000 from the hijack position before Charette reraised to 26,000 from the small blind. Vinson shoved for 140,000 total and Charette called, showing down {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} against Vinson's {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

Vinson hit his ace and improved to a bigger two pair on the flop of {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Hearts} and nothing changed when the {Q-Diamonds} fell on the turn. However, to Vinson's disgust, the {8-Diamonds} spiked on the river to fill up Charette and eliminate Vinson in seventh place to take home a tidy AUD $15,750 in prize money.

Final Table Jitters

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Ben Delaney opened from under the gun and looked rather surprised when he got three callers. Kosta Varoxis called from the button, and both Simon Charette and Waki Waki called out of the blinds.

On a flop of {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, the action checked around to Delaney who was not scared to open for 22,000. Varoxis folded and Charette thought about it for about 30 seconds before folding, as did Waki.

After the hand Charette said he normally would have made a move there but he was suffering from "final table jitters".

Delaney clearly took advantage of this information and took the opportunity to three-bet Charette's button raise of 13,500 to 48,000. Charette looked disappointed and made the fold.

Delaney moved up to 640,000 in chips while Charette slipped to 520,000.

Jitter Transfer?

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Simon Charette - jitterbug?
Simon Charette - jitterbug?

Delaney has been quite active on the final table raising and re-raising a lot of hands. However, it now appears he has caught a case of Charette's final table jitters.

After raising pre-flop to 13,500 and getting just one caller out of the big blind in Kosta Varoxis, they both checked down to the river a board of {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Varoxis tabled {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Delaney simply mucked.

A few hands later, Charette opened to 13,500 and Waki Waki made the call before Delaney opted to three-bet to 54,000. Action folded around to Charette who after some deliberation 4-bet to 135,000. Both Waki Waki and Ben Delaney folded their hands rather swiftly and those final table jitters now appear to have eased.

Slow Going ...

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

We've been hard-pressed to find any action here as the action continues here on the final table of the $2,200 No Limit Hold'em Six Handed event.

All we can report is that we've seen three flops in the last 30 minutes. Simon Charette raised to 13,500 from the cutoff and Ben Delaney called from the small blind before check-folding to Charette's bet of 16,000 on the flop of {Q-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Then Delaney raised to 12,000 and Leo Boxell called before he check-folded to Delaney's bet of 17,000 on the flop of {5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}.

Soon after, Delaney and Charette went heads-up to a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Charette check-folded to Delaney's bet. Exciting stuff.
