"You look familiar? Do I know you?" asked a player in the direction of Mel Judah.
With over $3,200,000 in earnings, two WSOP bracelets, four Aussie Millions titles, one WPT title and a place in Australia's Poker Hall of Fame, Judah technically has made it . . . too bad this player in question doesn't realize so!
Seven Card Stud
We were unable to catch the exact hand, but Gary Benson was all in for his ante and was unable to ride some luck to stay alive as Angie Italiano collected the pot.
Razz
Ash Gupta completed to 300 and was called by John Caridad and Roy Bhasin. It would be Caridad who took the lead on the remainder of the streets firing out bets with his seventh street 600-chip bet being tossed out before he peeked down at his final card.
Gupta; (X)(X) / / (X)
Caridad: (X)(X) / / (X)
Bhasin: (X)(X) / (folded on fourth)
Gupta made the call as Caridad tabled his / for an eight-four low. Gupta however would table his / for a seven-six low as he collected the pot to move to 28,000 while Caridad slipped to 12,000 in chips.
"You realize I bet dark on the river right?" asked Caridad.
Gupta just shrugged as tablemate Sam Khouiss uttered, "I can't see you losing this tournament!
"Sammy's made his pick, actually that's a mock!" added Caridad.
"Get me off this table!" announced Bruno Portaro.
"Do you have any idea what you're doing?" asked Matthew Pearson from the neighboring table.
"No, not at all. I've given half my chips to him," said Portaro pointing to Harry Demetriou.
For the record, Bruno Portaro is currently sitting with roughly 23,000 in chips.
Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo
David Steicke brought-in and Jamie Pickering completed with another player and Steicke making the 300-chip call.
Steicke bet fourth and fifth streets with Pickering folding on fifth before Steicke's opponent bet out 600 on sixth with Steicke smooth-calling.
Steicke: (X)(X) / / (X)
Pickering (X)(X) / (folded on fifth)
Opponent: (X)(X) / / (X)
With the dealer dealing seventh street, she accidently exposed Steicke's opponent's card to reveal the . The tournament director was called over, and it was determined that he could be treated as an all-in player and therefore see no betting continue on seventh.
Steicke's opponent opted for this and tabled his / , but was unable to collect any piece of the pot as Steicke revealed his / to scoop the pot and move to 20,000 in chips.
The tournament is going on a quick unscheduled five-minute break.
More information to come when it arises.
