To Be(t) or Not To Be(t)?

Patrik Antonius and Mike Matusow were heads up in a small pot on a board reading {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Antonius was shuffling his chips as usual, but Matusow thought he'd checked and checked behind. Antonius said he had yet to act, and the rest of the table agreed that he'd just been riffling. "But I don't want to take advantage either. I know, I know..."

"You don't know anything," chimed in David Benyamine. "Sometimes he checks back three nines there."

Finally Antonius decided to bet $3,000. Matusow called and mucked when Patrik showed {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for a pair of nines.

Still Talking about the Bet

Patrik Antonius just asked Mike Matusow what he had in the hand where the Mouth had thought PA checked. Antonius hadn't and bet $3,000 on the river. Matusow said he had nothing and had just called to see what Antonius had.

"I wouldn't have called anything, except that I was aggravated. I was sure you'd gone like this (makes checking motion.)"

A minute later, Matusow added, "I guarantee you, if I'd called $10,000, you wouldn't have had the best hand."

"Free lessons from Mike Matusow," Tom Dwan said. "It's almost like going to Deep Stack University." Matusow grumbled. "Come on, I can needle you a bit. You're up like 90k," Dwan responded.

Small Pot for Smith

Justin Smith raised a straddled pot, and from late position, Andrew Feldman three-bet to $13,600. Smith made a very deliberate call. Boosted J checked the {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, and Feldman checked behind. The turn fell the {8-Hearts}, and this time, Smith bet out $17,000. Feldman folded with a shrug.

23 a Good Year for Feldman

The younger players were discussing their ages as a new hand started. Justin Smith said he was 23 as he folded and Tom Dwan raised. Next to act, Andrew Feldman reraised to $7,400. "I'm 23 too," he said while Dwan pondered a call. "What? You have two-three?" durrrr said. "I can beat two-three," and he tossed the extra chips into the pot. "So can I," Feldman added.

Flop: {j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} - Dwan check-called $8,400.

Turn: {Q-Hearts} - Dwan checked, and this time, Feldman checked behind.

River: {10-Clubs} - Dwan checked again. Feldman bet $23,000 and once Dwan called, Andrew was happy to show {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for the nuts.

Statue Fed

For those of you worried about poor, starving Patrik Antonius, you can rest easy. He opted to fuel himself with a protein drink in a juice box. Guess he Doesn'tHateJuice.

Ace-High Good Enough

Patrik Antonius raised to $2,500. But shock. Andrew Feldman three-bet his button, making it $7,600 total. Antonius called, then checked the {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop. Feldman kept up his end with a $9,300 bet. Antonius called again. The {5-Hearts} turn put two red flush draws out there. Both players checked to the river, which filled diamonds with the {5-Diamonds}. It went check-check again, and Patrik Antonius took it down with {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

Italian

At long last, a menu. David Benyamine recommends the ravioli at the Italian restaurant downstairs in the Crown Casino.

Even durrrr Gets Two-Outed on the River

You don't need a HUD to spot the pattern here. Every time action folds to Tom Dwan in the cutoff, he's going to raise. And every time durrrr raises the cutoff, Andrew Feldman is going to three-bet his button. But sometimes they actually have hands. This time Feldman three-bet to $7,400, and Dwan surprised him by moving all in.

Feldman agonized, saying he just couldn't fold his hand. Eventually he paid the extra $38,800. "All these eights, they're killing me."

Dwan: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Feldman: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The dealer laid the {j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop and the {2-Spades} turn. He was burning before the river when David Oppenheim said, "Feel a little better now, Tom?" "There's still a --." Dwan didn't get to finish his sentence before the {8-Clubs} materialized on the river. Ouch.

"How dare you speak before it was done," David Benyamine chided Oppenheim.

With that $80k pot, Feldman is up on the day at the moment and durrrr rebought for another $100k.

Preflop Pot for Cajelais

Erik Cajelais hasn't been involved much since he got stacked in the first orbit. He opened from early position here, and David Oppenheim called. Patrik Antonius three-bet. Then Justin Smith either called or four-bet (we couldn't see the denomination of chips in front of him). So Cajelais responded by making it $60,000 to see a flop. Oppenheim and Antonius snap-folded, and Smith only took a minute longer to reach the same decision.

Cajelais took his chips back without a word. He's rivaling PA for bald stoicism today.

Antonius Busts J's Stack

The next hand after folding to Erik Cajelais' big preflop raise, Justin Smith got himself into another bad spot. He got his whole stack in on a {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop with {q-Spades}{10-Spades}. Patrik Antonius showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for the flopped nut straight. The board filled out with a {7-Clubs} and {9-Spades}. Antonius reached to his left to slide Boosted J's whole stack into his while Smith got up to get more chips.
