Chewed Up and Spit Out
We're not sure of how it happened, but Stevan Chew, who had been nursing a short stack, has been eliminated from the 2012 Aussie Millions Opening Event.

We've reached the halfway point of Day 1c, which means players are on a ten-minute break.
Level: 7
Blinds: 300/600
Ante: 50
With the end of Level 6 came the end of the registration period for the 2012 Crown's Aussie Millions Poker Championship. We had 525 players between Days 1a and 1b, and Day 1c was the biggest yet. We're not sure of the exact numbers yet, but we'll bring them to you just as soon as they're released by tournament officials.
Action folded to Vesko Zmukic in the hijack and he used his big stack to put some pressure on the remaining players with a raise to 1,500. Not to be outdone, the cutoff put out a big three-bet to 6,000. The button and blinds got out of the way, and after a few moment's thought, Zmukic did the same. He is still sitting pretty with 34,000.
Meanwhile, Trung Tran has been eliminated from the tournament.

With 3,000 in the pot and a board reading , a player in the big blind bet 1,500 and received a call by Dan Kelly. When the peeled off on the river, the big blind bet again, this time 2,500, and Kelly wasted little time in calling only to muck when the big blind revealed .
Kelly is doing just fine with 35,000.

The only thing better than picking up , is managing to tangle with a player who picks up . That''s exactly what Jeff Rossiter did a few hands ago. The aces held up and Rossiter took down a handy pot.

Daniel Neilson has just been seen exiting the tournament area. We caught up with his table to find out what happened and apparently Neilson got a little over aggressive with and ran into . The table assures us that Neilson was playing super aggressively ever since he got moved there.
Readers may recall that the young Australian player finished 3rd in the EPT San Remo Main Event a few months ago, picking up almost AUD$400,000. Unfortunately for Neilson, he will have to chase a similar score at the Aussie Millions on another day.
