Tchong Shoves

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Tchong defended against a raise by Michael Fraser and then shoved the flop {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Fraser looked over at his opponent and eventually folded to give up the pot of around 60,000 chips.

Soon after, Reece Webb raised to 21,000 and Don Mishra called in the big blind. Both players checked down the board {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{A-Clubs} and Webb's {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} ended up second best to the {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} of Mishra. Just yesterday, the player from Singapore had made the final table and finished ninth in the Accumulator Event. Mishra is back in action to do even better today.

Stewart Davidson Eliminated in 10th Place ($3,235)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Stewart Davidson
Stewart Davidson

Stewart Davidson made it 23,000 from middle position and got three callers to a {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop.

Robert Spano simply shoved the small blind for 200,000 and Davidson was the only caller with a little less.

Davidson had the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Spano the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, but Davidson's aces got cracked when the turn came the {k-Diamonds} and the {3-Diamonds} river did nothing to save him.

Michael Fraser raised to 22,000 and was called by Alex Lee from one seat over. The action folded around to Michael Tchong and he moved all in for 141,000. Fraser reshoved and that resulted in a quick fold by Lee.

Tchong: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Fraser: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

It was all over after the turn of a board {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{J-Spades} and Tchong headed to the payout desk to collect his winnings.

Abernathy Climbs; Spano Shoves

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Alex Lee raised to 20,000 and Robert Spano called before the action reached Samantha Abernathy in the small blind. She squeezed to 75,000 and just Lee called to see a flop of {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The last woman remaining then fired a continuation bet for what looked like 80,000 and Lee quickly folded.

Soon after, chip leader Mark Payne opened and called the three-bet of Robert Spano for 55,000. On the flop {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, Payne continued for 65,000 and was called before making it 85,000 once the {10-Hearts} fell in the turn. Spano moved all in for 270,000 and Payne folded.

Sam Vakili

Sam Vakili shoved in for 60,000 in the last hand before the break and Samantha Abernathy called with the {q-Spades}{5-Spades}.

Vakili had the {a-Spades}{2-Hearts} and busted out when Abernathy made a pair on the {5-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{k-Clubs} run out.

With that the players headed off on a 15-minute break.

Action Slows Down; Mishra Pays Off Lee

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The first few hands of the new level brought no excitement before Don Mishra then raised to 25,000. Alex Lee three-bet to 54,000 on the button and Mishra called. On the flop {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, Mishra tank-called a bet of 31,000 and was called. Both players checked the {4-Spades} turn and Mishra also checked the {A-Clubs} river.

Lee fired 67,000 with around 150,000 behind and Mishra was sent into the think tank for more than four minutes. Ultimately he sighed, slid the chips forward and said "okay Alex, you got it." Lee turned over {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and that was the winning hand indeed.

Don Mishra Eliminated in 7th Place ($5,805)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Don Mishra
Don Mishra

Don Mishra jammed in for 80,000 over a Samantha Abernathy 25,000-chip open and she made the call with the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

Mishra's tournament life was riding on the {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and he picked up a ton of outs on the {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} board to the turn.

The {10-Hearts} river gave him a pair, but it wasn't good enough and Abernathy collected another bounty as Mishra busted.

Payne Knows No Pain

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Samantha Abernathy raised to 25,000 and Mark Payne squeezed to 58,000 from the button. In the big blind, Robert Spano four-bet to 130,000 and Abernathy folded, Payne called. On the flop {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Spano continued for 150,000 and Payne tanked for more than two minutes.

Then he grabbed his red Terminator bounty chips, looked at the dealer, and announced all in. Spano gave it some thought and folded to see his opponent peek under both hole cards and then cheekily turn over the {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.
