Who's Here?

On our first trip around the room we spotted WSOP-Europe Main Event Champion Annette Obrestad, Lee Nelson, Chip Jett, Michael Tomeny, Tino Lechich, David Bach, Rayan Nathan, Tiffany Williamson, Mike Matusow, Eric Assadourian, Michaela Johansson, Brad Booth, Emad Tahtouh, Kenny Ng, Jim Sachinidis, Kenna James, Kevin O'Donnell, and Tony Hachem.

Tables of Death

Poker News' own John "Schecky" Caldwell got a... let's call it "less than ideal" table draw, with Lee Nelson and Chip Jett seated across from him. Over at the feature table, it'll be a battle of the "mouths" with Mike Matusow and Eric Assadourian seated together. West coast players Kevin O'Donnell and Kenna James are side-by-side at Table 13, while Rayan Nathan has to contend with David Bach seated three to his right.

Swarm for Warne

Warney
Warney
Several members of the mainstream press are here today covering Shane Wanre's apperance in the Aussie Millions. There's a swarm of cameras around Warney's table. I managed to get one quick shot before I almost got trampled by the menagerie of cameramen.

Kenny Ng Scoops an Early Pot

Three players limp in, including Tony Hachem, Eddie Tran raises to 650 from the small blind, Kenny Ng re-raises to 1,650, the limpers fold and Tran calls. The flop is {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and both players check. The turn is the {A-Hearts}. Tran checks, Ng bets 2,000, Tran raises to 6,000 and Ng calls. The river is the {5-Spades}. Tran bets 6,000, Ng moves all in, and Tran folds. Ng drags the monster pot and his chip stack is already up to 32,000.

Sam Sayed=First Bustout

Marcello Bo raised to 300 from middle position and Sam Sayed called. The flop was {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Bo checked, Sayed bet 1,000, Bo raised to 2,500, Sayed three-bet to 7,000, Bo moved all in for 19,500 and Sayed called.

Bo {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Sayed {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Aii ya! Set over set! The turn was the {K-Diamonds}, the river was the {K-Clubs} and Sayed was eliminated, less than 30 minutes in.

'The Mouth' Gives Eric a Free Lesson

After Eric Assadourian got caught bluffing off a large portion of his stack early, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow decided to make a new friend with some verbal jousting.

"Eric you are now officially in my 'sick' category! All I know is don't go bluffing off a quarter of your chips on level one my friend. There's a free lesson for ya. If you win this you can thank me for that lesson....I can see we're gonna have a lot of fun today!"

Assadourian is down to around 14,000 chips and has gone into his shell a little, but if he get some chips back then I'm sure we'll see some verbal fireworks between these two!
