Schwartz Levels with Popov

Justin Schwartz has levelled his series with Alexey Popov at 1-1.

Schwartz held {6-Diamonds}

against the {Q-Clubs}

of Popov and although a queen hit the board, there were four diamonds to give Schwartz a flush to win the pot and the match.

They are now playing the tiebreaker!

Schwartz v Popov Getting Intense

Justin Schwartz and Alexey Popov have been trading the lead back and forth.

Schwartz has his pocket queens cracked on a J-T-9 flop when Popov held J-9 for two pair.

However Schwartz got some revenge when he flopped a set of nines when all in against Popov's K-J.

Popov has the chip lead after hit quads twice so far in this match, but Schwartz is fighting it out as the blinds start to rise!

Joe Le was short-stacked against Xuan Nguyen but has just doubled up twice to get back to nearly even once again!

Le doubled with {A-Clubs}

vs Nguyen's {K-Hearts}

when he spiked two pair, and Le then had his pocket tens hold against Nguyen's pocket threes!

Alexey Popov Advances to Quarter Finals!

Alexey Popov and Justin Schwartz had been waiting for a big hand to collide with, and after Schwartz moved his short stack into the middle, Popov looked down at {Q-Hearts}

and made an easy call. Schwartz flipped over {K-Spades}

and would need some help.

However the board arrived {5-Spades}

and Popov wins the match 2-1 to advance to tomorrow's quarter finals!

Joe Le Goes 1-0

In an epic heads-up contest, Joe Le finally found a decent hand to call the shove of Xuan Nguyen. Le had {A-Diamonds}

and Nguyen was in trouble with his {Q-Diamonds}

.

The board arrived {7-Diamonds}

and Le was ecstatic to finally win the match and take a 1-0 lead!

Nguyen vs Le - The Battle Continues

Xuan Nguyen had Joe Le down to a short stack after Nguyen's set of fives were good against Le's middle pair.

However Le was able to turn things around winning a race a few hands later with {A-Clubs}

. Once again Nguyen held pocket fives, but the board ran out {2-Diamonds}

to give Le a double up to reclaim the lead once again!

These two are playing some high quality, intense heads-up poker and are not willing to give an inch to their opponent!
