Dunner Eliminated in 26th to Bubble Day 2

Level 17 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Elliott Dunner
Elliott Dunner

Elliott Dunner had been grinding a short stack for quite some time and finally put his last 25,000 in the pot under the gun. Martin Bender called in the small blind and Rock Shephard checked his option.

Both Bender and Shephard checked it down on the {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs} board and Bender opened {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, making a pair of sevens. Shephard tabled {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for two pair and Dunner had missed the board with {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Play has come to an end in Day 1b as they have started to bag their chips for Day 2 tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.

Cooksey Shares Min-Cash on Bubble

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Pamela Cooksey
Pamela Cooksey

Andrea Willbur, Martin Bender, and Pamela Cooksey all put 74,000 in before the flop and Cooksey was at risk on the bubble.

The dealer spread a flop of {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Bender checked to Willbur who moved the rest of her stack across the line and Bender got out of the way.

Pamela Cooksey: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Andrea Willbur: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Cooksey had run into the top set of Willbur but the {6-Diamonds} turn gave her some hope as she picked up an open-ended straight draw. The {9-Diamonds} on the river however, was not what Cooksey needed as she was eliminated from the tournament. A player on another table was eliminated during the same hand which means they split the minimum cash, taking home $250 each.

All 54 remaining players have locked up a payout of $500.

Oswald Wins Flip to Double

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Robert Oswald
Robert Oswald

There was a limp from early position before the button raised to 42,000. Robert Oswald was in the big blind and put his entire stack across the line. The limper quickly folded and the preflop raiser asked the dealer how much more it was. The dealer responded that it is 67,000 total.

"67,000? So 25,000 more? How could I fold?" As he proceeded to drop five more black chips into the middle.

Robert Oswald: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Button: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

It was a coinflip as the flop came {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, paring Oswald's queen and giving him an open-ended straight draw. The {7-Clubs} hit the turn, giving the button more outs but the {a-Hearts} on the river helped no one as Oswald dragged the pot.

Slade Edmonds
Slade Edmonds

Three players saw a flop of {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and both the big blind and Slade Edmonds checked before the third player in the hand jammed for roughly 35,000. The big blind quickly folded and Edmonds stood up as he said call, while tabling his hand.

All-In Player: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Slade Edmonds: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

Edmonds had flopped a set against his opponent's top pair and the {2-Spades} turn and {10-Clubs} river were no help for his opponent as he hit the rail.

Opponent: {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Allan Zwick: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Zwick made the right call as his opponent had ace-high and the {9-Diamonds} river was a good one for Zwick as he eliminated the opponent and raked in the pot.

Bill Acerra had got his entire stack of 19,100 in before the flop and it was Maria Swift putting his tournament life at risk.

Bill Acerra: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Maria Swift: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Acerra was dominated but the {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop gave him a full house. The {4-Diamonds} on the turn and the {5-Diamonds} on the river were safe as he doubled through Swift.

"I finally got lucky after four days!" Acerra joked.

Mike Glaze
Mike Glaze

After just doubling up when Mike Glaze got his 22,600 in on the flop of {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades} with {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} and held up against the jack-five of his opponent, Glaze was right back in the action the following hand.

A player limped in early position and the small blind limped before Glaze raised to 7,200 in the big blind. The original limper called off her 3,700 total and both hands were tabled.

Early Position: {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Mike Glaze: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, giving Glaze top set of kings. The {6-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing and the {k-Hearts} completed the board, giving Glaze quad kings as he pulled in back-to-back pots.

O'Neil is Not Letting Jones Crack his Aces

Level 3 : 300/600, 0 ante
Chris O'Neil
Chris O'Neil

Matthew Jones limped under the gun and Chris O'Neil raised to 2,300 next to act. The table folded around to Jones and he made the call.

The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} and Jones check-called a bet of 2,600 from O'Neil.

The {2-Diamonds} hit the turn and Jones checked to O'Neil again, and O'Neil fired out a bet of 6,600. Jones paused for a moment and pushed his cards towards the middle.

"I'm not letting you crack them again!" said O'Neil as he tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}.

Allegedly Jones has already cracked aces three times in this tournament.
