The €25 million guaranteed 2021 Battle of Malta Online saved the best for last at GGPoker with the final day featuring the Battle of Malta €550 Main Event.
The lofty €3 million guarantee slapped on this event has already been smashed after dozens of opening flights with the tournament attracting more than 6,000 entries with a handful of opening flights still running a couple of hours before the event. The total number of entries and the final prize pool will be known approximately 30 minutes before the kickoff of Day 2 today at 9:30 p.m. BST (4:30 p.m. EDT).
Thus far there were more than 750 players that virtually bagged into Day 2 led by Monaco's "Leflipd1vie26" with a huge 139 big blind stack of 836,364.
Notable players near the top of the leaderboard entering Day 2 include Aleksandr "leeel" Shepel (657,473), Caio "disturbed" Botacin (633,009), Victor "Q6d6" Pertile (602,891), and Aneris "TaiwanNumba1" Adomkevicius (563,229).

Day 2 will kick off at 9:30 p.m. BST (4:30 p.m. BST) and will end when one player has all the chips and is crowned the 2021 Battle of Malta Online Main Event champion. Blinds will increase slowly every 15 minutes throughout the day until the final table. The final table will feature blind levels increasing based on a certain number of hands.

The Battle of Malta Online Main Event attracted 6,591 entries for a €3,443,798 prize pool to smash the €3,000,000 guarantee.
A total of 989 players advanced to Day 2 with the top 700 players set to receive at least a min-cash of €1,368. The prizes go up in a big way from there with tonight's eventual winner slated to receive a whopping €378,286 top prize and the coveted Battle of Malta Online Main Event trophy.

Lache check-raised from 16,890 to 39,780 on the flop and Miquel called. The action got hot after the appeared on the turn. Lache jammed and Miquel called off for 78,694.

Keunwoo "POLALIFE!" Lee min-raised from middle position and was called by Mario "djuk8" Vojvoda from the button and Vlad "flavor flav" Revniaga from the big blind.
Lee bet 20,700 after Revniaga checked the flop. Vojvoda raised to 63,900 and Vojvoda called after Revniaga folded. Lee checked the turn before he called jam by Vojvoda for 88,208.

Just before the blinds increased, "CanUHelpMe" opened for a min-raise from the cutoff. Matas Cimbolas defended from the big blind to see the monotone flop.
Cimbolas check-raised from 10,890 to 42,780. "CanUHelpMe" three-bet jammed and for 122,601 and Cimbolas called off for a little bit less.
