Hankin Takes One Down

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

Howard Hankin was on the button and called an under-the-gun raise to 800, which took action heads up to a flop of {6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. The original raiser made a continuation-bet of 1,000 and Hankin pumped it up to 2,400. His opponent called.

The turn came {q-Spades} and Hankin's opponent led out, firing 4,200. Hankin called and the dealer brought the river {9-Hearts}. Hankin's opponent connected his knuckles with the felt, and Hankin reached for chips, casually tossing out his remaining small-denomination chips to total 2,700.

Such a bet proved to be enough to earn him the pot as his opponent looked back at his cards and then sent them to the dealer.

Spaulding Sends One To The Rail

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

Frank Spaulding had raised it up in early position and saw a handful of callers to bring a flop of {6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} with over 7,000 in the middle. Spaulding bet another 7,500 and the player on his left jammed for a bit more, resulting in folds back to Spaulding who wasted no time making the call.

All-In Player: {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Frank Spaulding: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Spaulding's overpair had him in great shape to earn the knockout. The turn {8-Clubs} shuffled a few outs around, but it made no difference in the end as the river {4-Spades} completed the runout and Spaulding took down the pot.

Holladay and Walters Get Stacks In

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

A hand had just transpired on Table 55 between Dustin Holladay and David Walters where stacks wound up going in on the river with Holladay earning a full double that left Walters crippled. According to the pair, bets went in on every street as the board came {a-}{7-}{q-}{3-}{3-}.

Dustin Holladay: {q-}{q-}
David Walters: {a-}{k-}

Walters found himself unable to get away from his flopped top pair, top kicker on the paired runout and ran into Holladay's full house, leaving Walters with just 3,000 as Holladay now finds himself with around 65,000.

Aces Give Izadi A New Stack

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Hamid Izadi
Hamid Izadi

Hamid Izadi was in the cutoff facing an early-position raise to 1,000 and a call from the hijack. He three-bet to 2,500 and only the original raiser called, taking action heads up to a flop of {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Both players checked.

The turn came {3-Spades} and the early-position player checked again. Izadi announced a bet of 4,500 and his opponent check-jammed for Izadi's effective stack of 10,500, which he immediately called.

Hamid Izadi: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Early Position: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}

Izadi faded the three outer on the river {5-Clubs} for the easy dub and now finds himself back over starting stack.

Herstein Versus Elias

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Darren Elias
Darren Elias

Darren Elias was on the button and raised an open-limp from the hijack to 1,400. Gary Herstein called in the small blind, as did the original limper, and the three saw a flop of {3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

Herstein, first to act, led out with a bet of 2,200. The hijack immediately folded, sending action over to Elias. Elias thought for around a minute and then grabbed his remaining chips and committed them to the center, totaling 8,100. It then became Herstein's turn in the tank, and he thought about his decision for close to the same amount of time as Elias.

Eventually, Herstein looked back at his cards and slid them under the chips he had already bet, continuing to slide both forward to the middle, earning Elias the pot to give both players identical stacks.

Tran Delivers a Dusting

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Tommy Tran
Tommy Tran

A pile of chips was in the middle totaling at least 10,000 with three-way action on a flop reading {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Tommy Tran was first to act in the hijack and checked, as did cutoff. The player on the button shoved all in for 10,600 and Tran check-shoved over the top to put the cutoff all in as well. The cutoff did not oblige.

All-In Player: {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Tommy Tran: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Tran's top pair was way ahead of his opponent's bottom pair, top kicker, and he found himself to be the one to improve as the turn {4-Hearts} and river {k-Hearts} completed the runout to give him trip kings and score him both the pot and the knockout.
