Flight A of the 2019 Borgata Poker Open Event #9: $300 Deepest Stack NLH drew 443 entries, but after 16 levels of play approximately 80 remained. Leading the pack with over 600,000 was Joe Ferrigno, while Peter Zarriello was hot on his heels with 580,000.

Others who made it through were Charles Kassin (441), David Hom (407,000), Ci Zhou (320,000), Marc Wagner (289,000), Alex "Chapo" Jim (229,000), and Zach Gruneberg, who was fresh off winning Event #3: $500 Black Chip Bounty for $56k.

Of course, not everyone was fortunate enough to find a bag. Among those to try and fall were Michael Wang, Kenny Nguyen, Donald Williams, Greg Reeves, Aubrey Williams, Corbin Avery, Chris Leong, and Blake Whittington.

The advancing Flight A players will join the Flight B survivors for Day 2 action at noon local time on Tuesday. Official numbers, the prize pool, and payout information will be released tomorrow, which is also when action will play down to a winner.
