Stammen Doubles to Survive

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Keven Stammen
Keven Stammen

With the board showing {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}, Keven Stammen moved all in over the top of a 2,500 opener for 10,225 total. Holding his cards up high, showing {A-Spades}{J-Spades}, Stammen told his opponent "I'll show if you fold."

His opponent called.

"Ace-King?" asked Stammen.

"That's what I put you on," said his counterpart, turning over {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Stammen breathed a sigh of relief that his opponent did not have Ace-King as the turn was the {K-Diamonds}. The river was the {8-Spades} and Stammed scored a double up to 26,000.

Giannetti Busts Baldwin

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Eric Baldwin
Eric Baldwin

We get to the table with a 5,000 chip in front of Eric Baldwin and 9,500 in front of Matt Giannetti with a board of {Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. As is usual with these two, both are quiet. Eventually Baldwin quietly places a 5,000 chip in front of him to call.

The river was the {A-Spades} and Giannetti announced that he was all in.

"Aaaaahhhhh ****," groaned Baldwin, before letting out a laugh and calling.

Giannetti turned over {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} leading to a sigh from Baldwin who mucked his hand.

Getting Away From Aces

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante
Emad Alabsi (and James Woods)
Emad Alabsi (and James Woods)

Emad Alabsi relayed a hand that just went down where he had {A-}{A-} on a {K-}{K-}{7-} board.

"It went bet, raise, re-raise and I knew my Aces were no good," Alabsi told us.

He was right as one of the players had {K-}{X-} for flopped trips and the other player had {7-}{7-} for a flopped full house, Sevens full of Kings. That hand would end up holding up and Alabsi would live to play another hand.

Alabsi is fresh off a win earlier this week where his good friend James Woods photo-bombed his winners photo. He also cashed in Event 7.

It's Not Dinner Break Yet...

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Players are going on a 10 minute break, will come back and play another level, and then go on dinner break. Aaron Massey wasn't a fan of this.

"What the ****, that makes no sense," he said.
