The weekend is over but the poker action at the Borgata Spring Poker Open is far from as the $2,700 Championship No-Limit Hold'em Reentry tournament is just about to get underway and we're expecting a huge turn out as there is a $1m Guarantee.
We've had great turnouts over the first six events proving that Borgata is once again the best place to play tournament poker on the East Coast. Event 7 will have to Day 1's with Day 1A taking place today and Day 1B getting going tomorrow (Tuesday). Play will end on Day 1 after Level 8. On Day 2 they will play until the end of Level 16. Day 3 will end when there are 27 players remaining and Day 4 will finish when there are 10 left. The 5th and final day will play until there is a winner.
We expect plenty of big names and local card players here including the likes of Jonathan Little, Victor Ramdin, James Woods, and many others to take a shot at the trophy and first place prize money.

Play has begun in Event 7 and cards are now in the air.
There are still plenty of empty chairs as players slowly make their way to their seats but we expect them to fill up soon.
We will have a list of notable names and local players who are taking part in the event shortly.
Slowly but surely players are starting to take their seats. Among the notables we've seen thus far are Matt Affleck, Anthony Zinno, Brett Richey, Jonathan Little, Eric Baldwin, and local Tom Dobrilovic who is fresh off a win in Event 3.
There are sure to be plenty more taking their seats soon as we've seen tweets from players like Jeff Madsen, Mike Leah, Chris Tryba, Greg Ostrander, and Darryl Fish stating they were on their way.

Jeff Madsen just took his seat and he wasted no time getting involved, opening from under the gun to 250. Everyone folded but the big blind who decided to take a peek at the flop.
It came and the player in the big blind check-called a 350 bet from Madsen.
The turn was the and the player in the big blind again check-called a bet from Madsen, this time for 800.
The river was the and another check from the player in the big blind. Madsen took his time, about 20 seconds, before quietly placing a bet of 1,550 into the middle. A call and Madsen gets good value for his as his opponent mucks and he takes the pot.
