Event 10 of the Borgata Winter Poker Open will resume at noon, after 35 players survived a grueling nearly-sixteen hour session to bag and tag. A total of 327 entries created a prize pool of $126,426 for this $450 Deepest Stack No-Limit Hold'em tournament.
Nicolas Markatos bagged the biggest stack with 2.15 million, while Andy Hwang, the champion of last year's Borgata Winter Poker Open, starts with 1.62 million today. The only other player with a seven-figure stack was Bruce Secor, who finished with 930,000. World Series of Poker Circuit winner Steve Gill sits on 740,000.
The survivors will play down to a winner, who will claim $34,130 for 1st place.
Event 99 Kicking Off Now
In light of the massive snowstorm to hit the eastern seaboard during the last few days, Event 12 of the Borgata Winter Poker Open was cancelled yesterday. The $150,000 Guaranteed Big Stack No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry event simply would not attract a sufficient turnout for the guarantee to be met, and thus the cancellation was forced.
A new event was created and scheduled, however, with Event 99 just now underway. The $230 Deep Stack No Limit Re-Entry tournament will start players with 25,000 chips and will consist of 25 minute levels.

Event 10 Prize Pool Information
The prize pool information for Event 10 ($450 Deepest Stack No-Limit Hold'em) is as follows. A total of 327 entries were recorded to generate a prize pool of $126,426, and the last 36 players with chips earned a payday. Event 10: Final Two Tables
Currently there are only 18 players left with chips in Event 10, meaning the final two tables have been reached.
The average chip stack sits just under 910,000 at the moment, with blinds set at 12,000-24,000, with a 3,000 ante.
Every player left in contention has assured themselves of a $1,081 payout no matter what happens from here on out.
Event 10: Breaking Through
With just 17 players left in the field, Event 10 is now on a 10-minute break.
Andy Hwang is the most notable name still vying for the title, and after taking down last year's WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open Main Event for more than $730,000, Hwang is no stranger to success here in Atlantic City.
Hwang currently sits with 1.47 million after bagging the second biggest stack last night.
Event 99 Update
There are 22 tables so far in Event 99, meaning more than 220 entries have been recorded thus far.
The tournament just entered Level 2, which puts the current blinds at 50-100.
Event 10: Back from Break
The 17-player field is now back from break and the race to the final table continues.
Current blinds are 15,000-30,000 with a 4,000 ante.
Event 99: Those Old Familiar Faces
With a limited turnout today due to the return of the dreaded Polar Vortex, the field is comprised mostly of players who basically live at the Borgata already.
Nonetheless, we've managed to find a few players who we know and love. Longtime tourney pro Mickey Appleman is here, as is Borgata reg Alyson Parker, who just chopped a side event along with a few other players to pocket a cool $4,000.
David Heck was also spotted trying to build another stack, fresh off of his 3rd place performance in last night's Event 8 ($250,000 Guaranteed Deeper Stack NLHE Re-Entry). Heck took home $36,389 for his deep run last night, and after a marathon final table that lasted nearly eight hours, Heck is back for more.
Finally, Cotton Snuffer is playing yet another tournament, and after watching the man known to his tablemates as "Heisenberg" dominate the early events here at the Borgata Winter Poker Open, we fully expect him to be a force here today.
Event 99: Seven Thirty-Seven
With the flop reading 
, an unidentified player led out for 700, only to see Cotton Snuffer up the action to 1,500.
"You look like Heisenberg man, you know that?" asked the player faced with the raise.
"I know ah I do," replied Snuffer, obviously aware of his alter ego.
The player decided to look the Walter White lookalike up, and the 
fell in on the turn. Perhaps intimidated by the unique persona he was tangling with, Snuffer's opponent checked to the aggressor.
Snuffer then rolled out a bet of 2,525 and stared his man down, forcing a quick fold.
"You know I didn't want that ten to come out..." Snuffer said to nobody in particular, showing down the 
as he did so. With three sevens, Snuffer dragged another pot his way, one night after winning a side event for his third victory in just seven days here at the Borgata Winter Poker Open.
