Chamani Four-Bet Shoves for Big Pot

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Ronit Chamani
Ronit Chamani

After Eric Wasserson opened for 50,000, John D'Agostino saw a spot to steal and he three-bet to 115,000 from the cutoff.

Ronit Chamani wanted the pot more though, and her all-in four-bet for 683,000 forced Wasserson to get out of the way.

D'Agostino tanked long and hard while the World Poker Tour camera crews circled the table. His expression was pained and the frustration was evident on his face. Eventually, after a minute or so, D'Agostino flung his cards into the muck and gritted a "nice hand" through his teeth.

Chamani smiled as she dragged the big pot her way, while D'Agostino continued to shake his head and wonder if he made the correct laydown.

Michael Weber's last hand of the tournament just went down, and the last of his chips went to Anthony Maio as a result.

Maio opened for 53,000 from the hijack and Weber shoved for about 110,000 in the cutoff. Maio quickly called with his {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} and he was in good shape against Weber's {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The final board rolled out {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{6-Spades} to keep the ace-high hand in the lead, and Maio sent Weber to the rail in 32nd place as the flurry of early eliminations continued.

Chris Reslock raised his small blind to 75,000 and Aristedes Santana called to defend his big blind

After a flop of {5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} rained down, Reslock led for 200,000 and Santana moved all in for 270,000. Reslock was pot committed and called the bet, leading to a showdown.

Reslock's {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} was tabled for the pure bluff, while Santana revealed the {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for top pair. The best hand held up through the turn ({3-Hearts}) and river ({5-Spades}), forcing Reslock to ship a chunk of change to the man sitting on his left.

John Holley on Day 3 of the 2014 WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open Main Event

Matthew Parry was under the gun and he opened to 45,000, with John Holley the lone caller in the big blind. The flop fell {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Holley tapped the table, prompting Parry to c-bet for about 60,000. Holley then check-raised all in for his last 644,000.

Parry wasted no time in committing the calling chips and he was all in for 590,000, revealing the {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} to find himself out in front of Holley's {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flush draw.

The turn ({7-Spades}) and river ({9-Spades}) did not bring a fifth heart on board, and Holley was crippled with just two big blinds to his name. He hit the rail shortly afterward in 34th place, taking home $15,084 for his impressive performance.

The flop came down {j-Spades}{q-Spades}{k-Spades} and with 128,000 already in the pot, Tyler Patterson tried an 80,000 feeler bet.

Resolock wasted no time in shoving his whole stack forward for the all-in raise, making it about 500,000 to go. Patterson did not appear happy at the development, and his cards were slid away into the muck. Reslock's response to the fold was an excited flick of his lone card protector chip, which he deftly snapped back into the air and caught with a smile.

When Naveh Morris opened for 45,000 from the hijack, Joseph Ruff reraised all in, and Justin Lunin-pack did the same, forcing Morris to get out of the way.

Lunin-pack's {a-Spades}{k-Spades} was in great shape against Ruff's {A-Hearts}{q-Spades}, and the final board of {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} left his king kicker as the difference. Ruff hit the rail in 35th place and took home $15,084 for his deep run.

Katayon Khaterzai Not Afraid

Katayon Khaterzai
Katayon Khaterzai

Despite having the massive chip leader sitting two seats to her left, Katayon Khaterzai just showed she's not afraid to mix it up with the big stack.

The flop read {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs} when we passed by and the pot already contained about 135,000. Jattin checked to Khaterzai and she responded with a bet of 85,000. Jattin stared across the table and studied his opponent, and she met his gaze while staring straight back at him. Jattin decided to call and take the {3-Diamonds} on the turn, but he checked out after a bet of 95,000 or so.
