There was a big turnout for the 2019 Borgata Fall Poker Open Event #21: Big Wednesday NLH with 356 entries creating a prize pool of over $89,000.

There were just five players remaining in the late night hours in the Signature Room. The stacks were getting shallow and they began to discuss an adjusted payout deal.

The stacks were counted down and the players struck a deal and shook hands to end the tournament.

Tom Coan, who was the chip leader at the time of the deal, took first place earning $14,961 for his efforts.

Carlos Figueroa-Fernandez finished as the second-place finisher earning $11,551 and Ramy Giurguis took home $10,492 and his second Borgata Poker Open trophy.

Guirguis Busts Chettipally to Vault to the Top

Ramy Guirguis

In one of the last hands of the previous blind level a player raised to 45,000 and Naveen Chettipally called.

Ramy Guirguis defended his big blind and they went three handed to the {q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop.

It checked to the original raised who bet 65,000 and Guirguis check-raised to 200,000. Naveen Chettipally moved all in for 450,000 and the late position player folded.

Guirguis called turning over {q-Spades}{10-Spades} and Chettipally showed {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. The turn and river were no help to Chettipally who was eliminated in Guirguis vaults to the top of the chip counts.

Naveen Chettipally Takes the Lead

Ryan Dodd was at the top of the chip counts for much of the night and he is still playing a monster stack of 700,000.

A new chip leader has emerged and he happens to be seated to Dodd's direct left.

Naveen Chettipally has caught fire after the dinner break and he's sitting behing a mountain of 850,000.

There's plenty of potential for a massive pot on table four if these two big stacks elect to clash.
