Are You Ready for Some Day 1d Action?

The 2019 Borgata Poker Open (BPO) is about to kick off the fourth of six starting flights in Event #1: $600 Deepstack Kick-Off. The tournament, which offers a $1 million guarantee, does allow for best stack forward, so even if players make it through either of today's flights they can fire any of the additional flights. On Tuesday, two starting flights played out with Day 1a drawing 192 runners and 1b an additional 112. From the current 304-entry field, 25 made it through Day 1a and nine from 1b. Leading the former was Kenny Han with an immense 593,000, while Sridhar Sangannagari bagged the big stack in the latter flight with 810,000.

Players will start with 25,000 in chips and late registration and re-entries will be available through Level 12. Levels 1-16 will last 30 minutes each, while Levels 17 and beyond will be 50 minutes each. Day 3 will see levels increase to one hour. The Day 1 flights are scheduled to play until the end of Level 16 or at the tournament director's discretion.

This tournament has traditionally been one of the biggest on the East Coast as evidenced by last year’s event, which drew 3,106 entries. Justin Leeds won that tournament as part of a four-way deal that saw everyone lock up $170,535 in prize money.
