Cicchelli Flips for Tournament Life Two Off the Money

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Robert Cicchelli
Robert Cicchelli

After Stefano Calenzani Prieto raised from the cutoff, Robert Cicchelli three-bet all in for 56,000 from the big blind. Prieto called and it was off to the races.

Prieto: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Cicchelli: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

Cicchelli was looking to hold and he did so on the {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop. The {3-Hearts} turn made things interesting by giving Prieto the better heart flush draw, but the {5-Spades} river proved to be a safe card for Cicchelli.

Hand-for-hand play continues two off the money.

Andrey Malinin Bubbles 2019 BPO Event #3: $500 Black Chip Bounty

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Andrey Malinin
Andrey Malinin

It took a while for the bubble to burst in Event #3: $500 Black Chip Bounty, but it finally did over at Table 5.

It happened when Russia's Andrey Malinin moved all in for his last approximately 90,000 from middle position and Barry Rosenkranz jammed all in over the top for 103,000 from the button. Both blinds folded and Malinin discovered the bad news.

Malinin: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Rosenkranz: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Rosenkranz woke up with the granddaddy of all hands and Malinin was in dire straits. The {7-Clubs}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop delivered Rosenkranz top set and left Malinin looking to go runner-runner.

The {9-Clubs} turn kept him drawing live as an eight would complete his gutshot straight draw. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {q-Diamonds}. Malinin missed and hit the rail in 64th place, thus guaranteeing the remaining63 players at least $794 in prize money.

Wee Extends Tournament with Double Through Rosenkranz

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Brian Wee
Brian Wee

Barry Rosenkranz opened with a raise from middle position only to have the short-stacked Brian Wee three-bet all in for 77,000 from the button. Both blinds folded and Rosenkranz thought for a bit before making the call.

Wee: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Rosenkranz: {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Wee was out in front but Rosenkranz managed to pair his nine on the {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop. Still, Wee flopped a diamond flush draw, and while he failed to find another diamond on the {q-Clubs} turn and {k-Hearts} river, the runout was just as good. Both players made kings and queens, but Wee's kicker gave him the double.

Charles Micalizzi: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Zach Gruneberg: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The flop came down {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and Gruneberg's jacks were still ahead. A {2-Hearts} landed on the turn and Micalizzi needed an ace or three to stay alive. The rivered faded Gruneberg as a {7-Hearts} completed the board, eliminating Micalizzi from the tournament.

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Louis Pelletteri
Louis Pelletteri

Louis Pelletteri opened from the small blind and Thomas Tolbert defended his big. The dealer fanned out {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} on the flop and Pelletteri check-called a bet of about 125,000.

The {10-Spades} landed on the turn and Pelletteri bet just over 200,000. Tolbert called and the {q-Clubs} completed the board. Pelletteri moved all in for around 460,000 and Tolbert took a moment but in the end, he called the bet.

Pelletteri tabled {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for a pair of tens and Tolbert then turned over {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for two pair, taking down the pot as Pelletteri was eliminated from the tournament in fifteenth place.

Michael Jouaneh lost half of his stack with pocket fours against and on the very next hand he moved all in for his remaining 180,000. Glen Passin called and the two turned over their hands.

Michael Jouaneh: {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Glen Passin: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The flop came down {k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Passin's snowmen were still ahead. A {4-Clubs} turn and {4-Spades} river didn't change a thing as Passin scooped the pot, eliminating Jouaneh from the tournament.

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Zach McNees
Zach McNees

Action folded to Zach McNees in the small blind and he elected to move all in for his 470,000 stack. Tim Macht thought for a minute but ultimately he called and the two tabled their hands with McNees at risk.

Zach McNees: {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Tim Macht: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The flop fell {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Macht extended his lead with top two. A {q-Hearts} landed on the turn, giving Macht a boat as McNees was now drawing dead to the {7-Diamonds} river card. Macht took down the pot, sending McNees out of the tournament.
