Quads for Herold

Level 21 : 8,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

A player open-jammed for 318,000 from early position and Ryan Herold, who was in the cutoff, thought long and hard before jamming over the top. The rest of the players folded and the hands were turned up.

Herold: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}

Herold had the best of it and he held on the {7-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop. The {10-Hearts} turn made things interesting as it gave Herold a set but also his opponent a heart flush draw.

The {10-Clubs} river was overkill for Herold as he improved to quads to claim the $100 bounty.

Neira Doubles Through Givotovsky

Level 21 : 8,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Bryan Neira
Bryan Neira

Bryan Neira found himself all in preflop for 242,000 and racing for his tournament life against Alek Givotovsky.

Givotovsky: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Neira: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Neira needed to improve to stay alive, and while he failed to do so on the {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, the running {a-Diamonds} turn and {a-Spades} river improved him to a full boat to score the juicy double.

Givotovsky Collects a Bounty

Level 21 : 8,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Alek Givotovsky opened and a player to his direct left raised all in for around 450,000. Givotovsky called and the two tabled their hands.

Opponent: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Alek Givotovsky: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Givotovsky took down the pot with his flopped set of kings, collecting a bounty chip as he sent an opponent out the door.

Staib Holds on to Double Through Prieto

Level 21 : 8,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

The turned board read {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and there was around 70,000 in the pot. Derek Staib bet and Stefano Calenzani Prieto moved all in for more than enough to cover his opponent.

Staib called for his 205,000 stack and the two tabled their hands. Prieto showed {4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for flush and straight outs. Staib turned over {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for two pair and the current best hand but he needed to dodge some cards to stay alive. The river was a brick as the dealer flipped over an {8-Clubs}, sending the pot to Staib for a complete double through Prieto.
