Porcaro Picks Up a Pot

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Henry Porcaro
Henry Porcaro

On the river with a board of {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, Henry Porcaro (bb) checked to Rich Forte (hijack) who bet 6,000. After a moment's thought, Porcaro called.

Forte said "I've got a pair of tens," as he tabled his {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Porcaro showed {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for two pair to take the pot. He chipped up nicely to about 95,000 while Forte was left with only about 12,000, and busted out soon after.

Hollenberg Doubles Thru Dandrea

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Dave Hollenberg
Dave Hollenberg

Joseph Dandrea was cruising in the chip lead, up to about 150,000, then ran into a speed bump.

He opened for 8,500 and got action from Dave Hollenberg in the big blind. On the flop of {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, Hollenberg checked, Dandrea bet 15,000, Hollenberg shoved and Dandrea snap-called, tabling {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for two pair.

Hollenberg was out in front with {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for the flopped straight. The {j-Clubs} on the turn changed nothing and neither did the {4-Hearts} on the river. Hollenberg doubled up to 125,000, leaving Dandrea with 100,000.

Mantin Busted Before Break

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Joseph Dandrea
Joseph Dandrea

The Seniors are enjoying another 15-minute break at the end of level 12.

On the last hand before the break, which actually ran over into the break a few minutes, Joseph Dandrea (middle) bet 16,000 on the river with a board reading {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

Mitchell Mantin (cutoff) moved in for 27,300 more and after getting the count, Dandrea called. Mantin's {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} had been cracked by Dandrea's {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and Mantin was felted.

Dandrea chipped up to 175,000.

Weinstein Doubles Thru Dandrea

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Ken Weinstein
Ken Weinstein

Ken Weinstein jammed for 51,000 and action folded around to Joseph Dandrea on the button, who called.

Weinstein's {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} needed help against Dandrea's {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and he got it on the flop of {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, giving him a pair of aces and nut-flush draw.

The {2-Hearts} turn did nothing for either, then the {a-Hearts} on the river improved Weinstein to trips, good for the double-up to nearly 110,000. Dandrea was left with 100,000.
