Kaelaine Minton
Live ReporterAfter working for Hewlett-Packard for 21 years, Kaelaine Minton left the corporate world for her second act. She has since been a mainstay of the poker industry for more than two decades, bringing a deep-seated expertise and a versatile skill set to the world of live poker tournaments.
A life-long recreational poker player, she started learning tournament play, then trained as a professional poker dealer. In 2005, she began her career on the front lines of the industry as a freelance Live Tournament Reporter. For the next 15 years, she traveled the global circuit, documenting the high-pressure environment of the tables and providing real-time insights into the world's most prestigious tournaments.
Following the global pandemic, which put a temporary halt to most travel and all live poker tournaments, Kaelaine strategically pivoted her career to meet the changing landscape of live event media. Transitioning into her current role as an editor of Live Tournament Coverage, she now ensures the structural and narrative integrity of reporting teams. Her extensive experience in the field allows her to bridge the gap between live action and high-quality editorial output, ensuring that every event is covered with precision and depth.
Today, Kaelaine continues to leverage her many years of industry knowledge to mentor rising talent and refine the standards of live poker journalism, remaining a dedicated advocate for the game and its global community.
