Just 150 Players Return for Day 2 in Event #9: $300 Deepest Stack NLH

The 2019 Borgata Poker Open Event #9: $300 Deepest Stack NLH continues today as 150 players from an 837-entry field return to action. Prize pool and payout information for the tournament should be released shortly.

Leading the pack with 927,000 is Israel’s “Arie Praisman, which is well ahead of Ory Hen and Day 1a chip leader Joe Ferrigno, who start with 695,000 and 605,000 respectively.

Others returning to action today are Minnesota’s Saad Ghanem (559,000), two-time WSOP Global Casino Champion Ryan Eriquezzo (520,000), Hamid Izadi (519,000), Will Givens (402,000) Nicholas Palma (336,000), Kenny Nguyen (247,000), Alex “Chapo” Jim (229,000), and 2019 BPO Event 3 winner Zach Gruneberg (96,000).

Zach Gruneberg, who won the 2019 BPO Event #3: $500 Black Chip Bounty, moved all in for approximately 120,000 from middle position and start-of-the-day chip leader Arie Praisman isolated from the hijack with a three-bet. The rest of the players folded and it was off to the races.

Praisman Goes Runner-Runner Against a Monster

Arie Praisman from the cutoff and a player in the big blind three-bet to 150,000. Praisman snap four-bet to 355,000 and his opponent called to see the {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop.

Action checked to Praisman, he put a continuation bet of 400,000 into the middle and his opponent just flatted, leaving themselves about 135,000 behind.

The {k-Hearts} landed on the turn, both players tapped the table and a {q-Hearts} completed the board. The big blind player moved their remaining 135,000 into the pot and Praisman snapped.

The all-in player flipped over {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for the top set, but Praisman revealed something even heavier as he turned over {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a runner-runner flush. Praisman pulled in the pot from a fortuitous runout and his opponent headed to the payout desk after seeing his aces cracked on the river.
