The 2020 Borgata Winter Poker Open continues today with Event #10: $300 Deepest Stack Double Header NLH, which offers a $200,000 Guarantee and brings two starting flights to choose from, this being the second which will begin at 5 p.m. local time.

Each flight will play a total of 16 levels before the remaining players bag up, advancing to Day 2 at noon on Tuesday, January 21, where an eventual winner will be crowned, taking home the cold hard cash and a Borgata trophy.

Last year, this tournament cruised by its $200,000 guarantee by drawing 1,129 runners, which generated a $244,734 prize pool. A heads-up deal was struck that saw Borgata regular Ralph Macri claim the BWPO trophy and $50,000 in prize money.

All players will begin the day with 40,000 in chips, the levels will be 30-minutes in length and there will be a 15-minute break after every four levels with the late registration period remaining open until the start of level 13.

John Thrasher: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Nosonchuk Extracts from Figueroa

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

The flop showed {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and there was 1,200 in the pot. Alan Nosonchuk bet 1,000 and Carlos Figueroa called to see the {k-Diamonds} turn card.

Action checked to Figueroa who bet 1,800 and Nosonchuk check-called. A {7-Spades} completed the board, both players checked and Figueroa tabled {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a pair of queens but it was not good enough when Nosonchuk turned over his {k-Spades}{q-Spades}, giving him two pair and the pot.
