Day 3 of $5,300 The Return Begins at Noon with 53 Players Vying For Final Table
Day 3 of $5,300 The Return here in Atlantic City gets underway today at 12 noon local time. Just 53 players remain out of an original 1,142 field. The remaining players are battling to take their share of the $5,538,700 prizepool with their eyes set on the ultimate grand prize of $1,206,097.
Leading the way to start Day 3 is Bin Weng (2,395,000) who took control of the field late in Day 2. Weng has close to $2 million in career tournament earnings and will be aiming to cross that threshold with a big result here.
In second place is Lanny Vaysman with 2,050,000 in chips. He has less than $100,000 in career earnings and has a great chance to lock up his career-best score.
Christopher Ng (1,785,000), Blake Bohn (1,500,000) and Sam Laskowitz (1,425,000) who won the $2,200 Mystery Bounty event earlier in the series, round out the top five counts.
