Cash Game Festival co-founder Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk has appeared on many feature tables in the past but has never been the biggest winner on the table. Opponents have previously shared with PokerNews when commenting on his play that this is because he opens a ton of hands in no-limit hold'em.

Franke put the demons to rest and he booked a very sizeable profit of around €700 in the early €1/€2 no-limit hold'em table to record the most profit on that table.

On the feature table were some friendly faces, including Sweden's Peter La Terra who consistently wins at Cash Game Festivals. Franke may have had a different opinion about his friend when we asked him about how he felt about his opponents at the table.

"They were all fishes," said Franke. "Especially [Peter] La Terra."

There were bigger games running on Day 3 as well, including a €2/€5 no-limit hold'em table that has been going for more than 30 hours straight.

Players have also enjoyed games in Omaha and after midnight a Sviten Special opened. Last night's late night Sviten Special table was converted into a super dealer's choice game that ran well after the sun came up.

Planned activities away from the poker felt included a go kart competition and later a VIP dinner.

New players that have attended previous festivals are continuously coming in to be back with their Cash Game Festival family. Today it was Latvia's Trumulis, Lithuania's Karolis and Bulgaria's Nickolay Johnson who lost more than 40 kilograms since anyone at the Cash Game Festival has seen him making their first appearances in the casino.

Tomorrow is expected to be just as big a day if not bigger. In addition to the exciting nonstop poker, at 11 p.m. players with the hospitality package will be invited to a raging VIP party.

Stay tuned at PokerNews as we continue to provide coverage throughout the 2017 Cash Game Festival Bulgaria.

Day 1 Big Winner Miroslav Georgiev Hopes to Attend Another Cash Game Festival in the Future

Miroslav Georgiev

Bulgaria's Miroslav Georgiev, aged 24, might be young but has already amassed a ton of poker experience. On Day 1 of the Cash Game Festival he was able to take down a huge pot off one of the most famous Bulgarian poker players in Fahredin "FeriBo" Mustafov.

A player uninvolved in the pot post-flop opened up in early position on the Day 1 €2/€5 no-limit hold'em feature table for €30. Georgiev, holding {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, three-bet to €110 and got a call from Mustafov who held {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} from the blinds.

Mustafov check-called a bet of €130 from Georgiev after the {10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop was dealt before both players checked after the {9-Hearts} appeared on the turn.

Mustafov checked once again when the {5-Spades} completed the board on the river. Georgiev bet €340 before Mustafov tanked and jammed for the rest of his stack. Georgiev went into the tank before he called and collected a huge pot worth more than €4,000.

We asked Georgiev if he ever finds a fold against Mustafov and whether his answer could change against another opponent.

"I was never folding there based on my history with him." shared Georgiev. "Against another player, I can find a fold. Queens is the only hand that he was behind on that I would have folded. He has so many bluffs in his range and I see very few value hands in his range making the call very easy."

"We have a lot of history," added Georgiev about his opponent. "He is very aggressive and a very good player. I think the stakes when we were playing was too low for him which is why he was playing maybe too many hands. This is why he was involved in hands with j-4. He is a good player, especially for Bulgaria. He is also very famous and everyone knows. Everyone knows he is aggressive that is why we are also loose with him."

Georgiev has been playing poker for almost a decade and like many, his foray began against friends.

"I started playing poker eight years ago," shared Georgiev. "I played only with friends and very small money. If I won €50 I was a millionaire or like a big tournament."

After a couple of years, Georgiev was ready to move beyond games against friends.

"After I turned 20-21, I started to play in one casino and it was electronic tables and smaller stakes," shared Georgiev. "It was against other players, but with screens."

When one is successful at smaller stakes, they often begin to move up to bigger games. The same was true for Georgiev, however, his climb was gradual.

"After some success, I began playing a little higher at Golden Sands Casino a little bit higher stakes than before, but still low with my action at €1/€2 and I was buying in short for €100."

After seeing Georgiev during the Cash Game Festival, he appears to have grown as a different player who likes to now buy into games deep and at higher stakes.

"For the past couple of years, I am playing mostly €2/€5 and also €5/€10 if the action is good," said Georgiev.

Georgiev lives in Varna, which is about two hours from Platinum Casino. Despite that, he is well known by players and staff alike for his friendly and the fact he travels to Platinum Casino when he feels the action will be better than back home.

"I normally come to Sunny Beach for the festivals," said Georgiev. "So I made a special trip to Platinum Casino after I learned the Cash Game Festival was visiting."

It appears the decision was good for Georgiev not only because he won a bit of money early in the festival, but because of the fun he is having with players being far more social than he is used to. He does hope to see higher stakes at the next Cash Game Festival in Bulgaria, but more to watch rather than play.

"It is a good festival and I am having fun," said Georgiev. "I like the Cash Game Festival since I am a social player and never wear headphones or play around with my phone. Many players normally fall into both categories. Here I was able to talk to most of the players and even made new friends. In the future, I wouldn't mind seeing higher stakes at Platinum Casino including up to €10/€25. I won't play those stakes, but I would watch it."

Now that Georgiev has gotten a taste of the Cash Game Festival, he hopes to see the tour sometime in the future even though he can't during the next stop in London at Aspers Casino on Sept. 20-24.

"I travel a lot and hope to go to a Cash Game Festival in the future," explained Georgiev. "I can't go to the London festival since I will be in Cyprus when it takes place."

Cash Game Festival co-founder Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk has been rocking and is already up quite a bit on the early feature table.

He was giving the impression to Peter Cox that he was pushing him off a pot showing him one card before the duo got involved in another hand on the stream.

The hand began with Cox raising to €8 with {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} before Franke three-bet to €21 with {q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Cox called and the flop came {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} giving Franke bottom pair and a flush-draw and Cox top-pair.

Franke continuation-bet €31 on the flop and got a call from Cox.

The {7-Diamonds} appeared on the turn to improve Franke's hand to a flush. Franke fired out again, this time for €82 and Cox called.

The board paired up after the {7-Spades} completed the board on the river. Franke shoved all-in for almost €300. Cox tanked for a few minutes before he called giving Franke a monster pot.

Franke booked a profit of €700 and depending on things continue to go could be the biggest winner on a Cash Game Festival feature table in his career.

Cash Game Festival co-founder Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk is in Seat 4. The game is always fun and never quiet whenever he is on the table. He shared right before the feature table kicked off that his strategy was to go after Trumulis in Seat 7, who as we mentioned just arrived about an hour ago. Franke mentioned that he has a tell by looking into his eyes. Trumulis showed his sunglasses and said if you take these I will grab the ones from the clicker as I have in the past.

Ireland's James Noonan is in Seat 5. He won a package to the festival during the Cash Game Festival Malta in June. He has had some success in online poker tournaments including final tabling a major one for around $63,000.

Rounding things off is United Kingdom's Peter Cox in Seat 8 who is taking a break from the €2/€5 no-limit hold'em side table he was playing on to have some fun with all the characters at the table.

Welcome to Day 3 of the 2017 Cash Game Festival Bulgaria at Platinum Casino in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria.

Day 2 never really ended for some players. The action was at a dozen tables for a good portion of the night with many still running when the sun came up. A €2/€5 no-limit hold'em table is still running from the night before with most of the same players in the same seats.

Many others chose to enjoy the fun late night entertainment in Sunny Beach, while others chose to rest up to have energy for the remaining three action-packed days of the festival.

Some players will begin Day 3 with an organized go-carting activity. There will be a few preliminary races before there is a final round of qualifiers competing in one final race for the win.

In the evening players with the hospitality package will be treated to a special VIP dinner.

There is a batch of new players expected to come today including Cash Game Festival regular "Trumulis" from Latvia who confirmed he will be in Sunny Beach in a few hours.
