Jorden Helstern Eliminated in 14th Place ($5,567)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Jorden Helstern
Jorden Helstern

Action folded around to Justin Liberto on the button and he opened to 40,000. Jorden Helstern re-jammed for around 450,000 in the small blind and Liberto immediately set a stack of chips onto the table once it became his turn to do so.

Jorden Helstern: {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Justin Liberto: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Helstern flopped a flush as {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} rolled onto the felt. Unfortunately for him, a fourth diamond came on board as the turn came {6-Diamonds}, leaving him drawing dead to the river {q-Spades} to bring about a 14th-place finish.

Scott Burns Eliminated in 13th Place ($5,567)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Scott Burns
Scott Burns

Steve Wilkie limped in the cutoff and Phil Gioia completed his small blind before Scott Burns checked in the big blind, taking three-way action to a flop of {9-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{a-Hearts}. Gioia checked to Burns, who bet 37,000. Both Wilkie and Gioia called and action continued three handed to the turn {j-Clubs}.

"Seventy thousand," said Burns after Gioia checked. In the blink of an eye, Wilkie went all in, Gioia folded, and Burns called.

Scott Burns: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Steve Wilkie: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

Burns was behind Wilkie's two pair but could be saved with a nine, heart, or ten. None came on the river and he was eliminated from the tournament as a result.

Phil Gioia

As time expired in the previous level, Jason Dennis opened to 45,000 in the hijack and Phil Gioia re-jammed for 476,000 in the cutoff. Dwane Collard was on the button and called, resulting in everybody else folding behind.

Phil Gioia: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Dwane Collard: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Gioia was unable to catch an ace on the runout {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and was sent to payouts in 12th place as a result.

Matt Livingston Eliminated in 11th Place ($7,591)

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 4,000 ante
Matt Livingston
Matt Livingston

Matt Livingston open-jammed for 356,000 under the gun and Chris Quackenbush called all in for 297,000 in the hijack. Jason Remshardt called as well.

Chris Quackenbush: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Matt Livingston: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Jason Remshardt: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Quackenbush was in about as good of a situation as he could ask for to triple and held with ease as the runout came {5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} to score him the triple.

Livingston was then left with barely over two big blinds and busted a couple of hands later with {j-Spades}{7-Hearts} to the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} of Josh Saltz.

Mike Kenny Eliminated in 10th Place ($7,591)

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 4,000 ante
Mike Kenny
Mike Kenny

Jason Remshardt open-limped in the hijack on a five-handed table and action folded to Mike Kenny in the big blind, who checked his option. Kenny bet 45,000 on {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Remshardt called.

The turn came {8-Clubs} and Kenny shoved for his remaining 190,000. Remshardt immediately called.

Mike Kenny: {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Jason Remshardt: {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

Remshardt's flopped set was ahead of Kenny's two pair and Kenny was unable to back into the full house on the river {k-Diamonds}, bringing about his elimination in 10th place.

With nine remaining, the tournament clock has now been stopped as the final table has been reached. Players are redrawing for seats and appear to wish to continue play into the evening.

A final table seat draw and updated chip counts will be posted shortly.

Jay Teel
Jay Teel

Steve Wilkie open-limped in the hijack and Jay Teel jammed for 266,000 in the cutoff. Dwane Collard put in 500K on the button and everybody else folded.

Jay Teel: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Dwane Collard: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Teel's night came to an end as the board ran out {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

"I lose," said Teel after finding himself drawing dead on the turn. "I'm okay with that," he added before making his way to get paid.

A moment later, Jason Dennis avoided an eighth-place finish after getting {a-}{5-} in against the {a-}{j-} of Rocco Palumbo and hitting a full house to double.

Rocco Palumbo Eliminated in 8th Place ($11,289)

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 4,000 ante
Rocco Palumbo
Rocco Palumbo

Players are now on a 10-minute break.

On the last hand before the break, Rocco Palumbo opened to 50,000 on the button and Justin Liberto three-bet to 185,000 in the small blind. Palumbo called and action checked through the flop {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Liberto bet 145,000 on the turn {k-Spades} and Palumbo called, bringing the river {4-Spades}.

Liberto slid out a stack of 25K-chips, just enough to put Palumbo to a decision for the last of his chips. After a few moments, a call was made.

Rocco Palumbo: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Justin Liberto: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Liberto had Palumbo out-kicked and Palumbo was eliminated in eighth place as a result.

Wilkie Rides a Roller Coaster To Double

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Steve Wilkie
Steve Wilkie

Steve Wilkie open-limped on the button and Justin Liberto raised to 125,000 in the small blind. Wilkie came over the top, shoving for exactly 500,000 and Liberto called.

Steve Wilkie: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Justin Liberto: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Wilkie was way out in front going to the flop, which came {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and brought chop outs on board. An even worse scenario came for Wilkie on the turn {j-Clubs}, resulting in him standing up in disbelief. Then, a miracle {q-Diamonds} came on the river, causing Wilkie to take one step over and hug the dealer, thanking him in the process for keeping him alive.

Josh Saltz
Josh Saltz

Josh Saltz open-jammed for a bit over 400,000 in the hijack and action folded to Steve Wilkie, who also announced he was all in.

Josh Saltz: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Steve Wilkie: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Saltz picked up two extra outs on the flop {9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Spades} but ultimately lost the coin flip as running {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} completed the runout, leaving Wilkie's two tens best.

Chris Quackenbush Eliminated in 6th Place ($16,350); Jason Remshardt Eliminated in 5th Place ($20,242)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Chris Quackenbush
Chris Quackenbush

Justin Liberto opened to 80,000 in the cutoff and Chris Quackenbush re-jammed for just under 500,000 in the small blind. Jason Remshardt re-jammed in the big blind, causing Liberto to request a count that was totaled to be 633,000. Liberto then called.

Chris Quackenbush: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Jason Remshardt: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Justin Liberto: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Remshardt was shocked to see his hand dominated in every way except hearts, resulting him to ask the dealer for hearts to come. One came on the flop {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and another came on the turn {3-Hearts}, giving him a shot at the scoop as Quackenbush found himself one card away from a triple. Unfortunately for both, the river fell {q-Spades} to give Liberto queens up and score the double knockout, bringing the field from six to four in a single hand.
