Nines No Good For Nommik

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Silver Nommik
Silver Nommik

A player raised from under the gun before Silver Nommik jammed for about 600,000 from the button. Davis Modans over-jammed for about 1.4 million from the big blind and the under the gun raiser folded.

Silver Nommik: {9-}{9-}
David Modans: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}

Modans nailed a set on the {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} flop but this also opened a gutshot straight Nommik.

Nommik hit the rail in 18th place for €2,060 after the {4-Diamonds} came on the turn and the {3-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

A minute later on another table Morten Rosenkrantz was eliminated in 17th place for €2,060 and Meelis Meliste was eliminated in 16th place for €2,060. Play is now paused for a redraw of the final two tables with 15 players remaining.

Chia Mohammed Junis
Chia Mohammed Junis

On the very next hand, Chia Mohammed Junis were battling it out on a {6-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop with about 150,000 already in the pot. Eventually Junis got it all-in for 600,000 with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and was called by Jonas Bølge Tveit with {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

Junis was drawing dead after the {3-Clubs} appeared on the turn and was ousted in 14th place for €3,350 after the {4-Clubs} completed the board on the river.

Joachim Bjorum Hillestad Eliminated in 12th Place (€3,350)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Joachim Bjorum Hillestad
Joachim Bjorum Hillestad

We caught up with the hand on the turn with the board reading {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and about 300,000 in the pot. Joachim Bjorum Hillestad bet 110,000 and Mathias Siljander called.

The {10-Spades} completed the board on the river and Hillestad checked. Siljander jammed over the top more than covering the approximate 500,000 Hillestad had behind and got a call.

Siljander turned over {K-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for the nut-straight and Hillestad never showed his hand and headed to the cashier to collect the 12th place prize of €3,350.

Meanwhile, Siljander's chip leading stack has grown to a massive 3.8 million in chips.

Tony Andre Westby Eliminated in 11th Place (€4,050)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Tony Andre Westby
Tony Andre Westby

Tony Andre Westby opened to 60,000 before Jonas Bølge Tveit three-bet jammed for over 1,000,000 more than covering the 800,000 Westby had behind.

Westby made the call and turned over {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} which was racing against the {q-Spades}{j-Spades} held by Tveit.

Tveit paired the {3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop and held on to the lead in the hand with the {k-Clubs} appearing on the turn and the {5-Diamonds} coming on the river.

Westby had an amazing run in the Main Event and was the chip leader for a few hours on Day 2. He will take home the 11th place prize of €4,050.

After one more elimination the final table will be set.

Daniel Sandnes Eliminated in 10th Place (€4,780)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Daniel Sandnes
Daniel Sandnes

Daniel Sandnes was a little short. He opened for 60,000 from under the gun before Mathias Siljander called from two seats over. Fredrik Karvall also completed the action from the big blind.

All three players checked after the flop came {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Karvall led out for 83,000 before Sandnes shoved for about 350,000 after the {8-Diamonds} came on the turn. Siljander got out of the way and Karvall called.

Karvall turned over {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} which was dominating the {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} held by Sandnes. The {5-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and Sandnes was eliminated in 10th place for €4,780.

There is a delay in action as the final table is being set-up. The action will be reported on a 30-minute delay so we are not giving spoiler to those watching the stream as well.

We will share the full line-up and updated chip counts shortly.

Katsuhiro Muto
Katsuhiro Muto

Katsuhiro Muto open jams 20 big blinds from late position with {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. The action folds around to Davis Modans in the big blind who tanks for a minute before he called with {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} from the big blind.

Muto was looking good to double up preflop and even more so after the {5-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades} came on the flop. Both players paired the {a-Hearts} on the turn but Modans shipped the hand after he nailed two pair with the {10-Diamonds} coming on the river.

Muto didn't walk away empty-handed as he will go home with €4,780 for finishing in ninth place.

The remaining eight players are all guaranteed to take home €5,910.

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jari Hurri
Jari Hurri

Jari Hurri opened from early position for 85,000. It folded around to Davis Modans in the small blind who flat-called.

Jonas Bølge Tveit three-bet to 325,000 from the big blind and Jari Hurri four-bet jammed all-in for about 825,000.

Modans folded and Tveit snap-called.

Jari Hurri: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Jonas Bølge Tveit: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

Tveit was slightly ahead before the flop and was way ahead after nailing a set after the flop came {4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}. He clinched the hand when the {4-Clubs} on the turn gave him a full house.

The hand was officially completed after the {7-Spades} came on the river and Hurri was eliminated in eighth place for €5,910.

The remaining seven players are now each guaranteed a €8,050 payday.
