Big Hand for Von Zweigbergk with Ten-Six Offsuit

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Martin von Zweigbergk
Martin von Zweigbergk

Anders Lejon opened to 1,600 from early position and was called by player in late position and by Claudio Vasquez in the small blind. Martin von Zweigbergk three-bet to 7,000 and was called by Lejon and the player in late position.

Vasquez tanked for two minutes before he folded.

Von Zweigbergk instantly jammed for around 22,000 after the {j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} came on the flop. Lejon called and the other player folded. Lejon turned over {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a set by Von Zweigbergk was still alive with {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for an open-ended straight draw.

The {8-Spades} came on the turn to give Von Zweigbergk a straight and his stack soared after his opponent didn't improve to a full house or quads once the {a-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

"Not a Ten!"

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Mathias Siljander
Mathias Siljander

Kaido Kooritz had his 35,000 in chips in the middle with {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} against Mathias Siljander with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, who has built his stack up during the last blind level.

The {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop put Kooritz ahead on the flip with the {8-Spades} on the turn being another safe card.

"Not a ten!" shouted Kooritz as this card would give both players a straight, although Siljander with a better broadway straight.

As fate would have it, the {10-Clubs} came on the river and Kooritz was felted. The entire table including Kooritz had a good laugh and Siljander became one of the chip leaders in the room with a stack of around 120,000 in chips.

Lindpere Chipping Up

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Joel Lindpere jammed for 33,600 into a pot of around 22,000 on a wet {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} board. Lise Hoyforslett tanked for around five minutes during which time Lindpere was trying to have a friendly conversation with her about what she was holding and what he could possibly be holding.

"I have to fold," said Hoyforslett and she shook her head after Lindpere turned over the {j-Spades}.

Ladies Hold for Rornes

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Tom Fredrik Rornes
Tom Fredrik Rornes

Tom Rornes bet 6,000 into a pot of 14,000 with the {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} on the flop. Joel Lehtinen jammed for 21,400 and Rornes tanked for two minutes before he made the call.

Joel Lehtinen: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Tom Rornes: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Lehtinen needed an ace or a diamond to double up. He was instead felted after neither the {8-Clubs} on the turn nor the {10-Clubs} on the river was able to help his hand.
