Koorits Takes it Down Preflop

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Jari Hurri has been off to a decent start and quickly chipped up on a table filled with Estonian notables. One of them, Kaido Koorits, raised to 600 and Niko Korhonen called from the next seat. Hurri then squeezed it up to 2,400 and it folded back to Koorits. The four-bet to 8,000 followed and shut down everyone including Hurri.

Perelman Doubles Through Sigurdsson

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Rob Perelman
Rob Perelman

Rob Perelman raised and then called a three-bet to 2,500 by Gudmundur Sigurdsson. The latter barreled through a flop of QJ4 for 3,300 and 8 turn for 6,600. Sigurdsson jammed the 10 river and Perelman called for 20,500.

Sigurdsson showed A7 for a bluff and Perelman doubled with JJ. Other players at the table then pointed out that Sigurdsson had "only bluffed twice all day long" yesterday.

Sverrisson Wins Without Showdown

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Vytautas Rubezius raised to 2,000 and Halldor Sverrisson called from the next seat. "That's a bad strategy, now I can hit against your aces," the jovial Lithuanian said. The rest of the table folded and they headed to the J53 flop on which both checked. Rubezius bet the J turn for 3,000 to earn a call and then folded on the K river, as Sverrisson won the pot without showdown.

Lund Beats Gronbech in Showdown

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

The second tournament room is now in action with tables 15 and 16 in play. Among them, many players from Norway are over there and Torleiv Gronbech took a minor hit against fellow countryman Asgeir Lund. The latter bet the 44210 turn for 1,500 and Gronbech called. They checked the A river and Gronbech joked "you hit the ace", which Lund indeed had with the AQ.

Kasso Chips Up With Aggression

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Three ways to the 654K turn, the action checked to Laasik Kasso in the cutoff and he bet 3,000. Both Rolf Nordbjoorn on the button and Rando Kleimann in the small blind called. The J river was checked by Kleimann again and Kasso now bet 10,000.
Nordbjoorn was covered by that and tank-folded, Kleimann quickly let go.
