It's a Trap!

Adam Bitker opened to 50,000 from the hijack seat, and David Stefanski called in the big blind. The flop was {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, and Stefanski check-called 56,000 from Bitker.

The turn was a fourth diamond - the {7-Diamonds} - and Stefanski checked again. Bitker fired 97,000, and Stefanski called.

The river was the {5-Clubs}, and both players rapped the table. Bitker showed {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a queen-high flush, but Stefanski had him beat with {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a full house.

Bitker dropped to 1.45 million chips, while Stefanski is up to 1.9 million.

Stefanski Doubles With Aces Again

Peter Jankowski opened to 40,000 in the hijack seat, Vinny Pahuja called in the cutoff, and David Stefanski three-bet to 119,000 on the button. The blinds released, and so did Jankowski, but Pahuja responded with a four-bet to 240,000.

Stefanski moved all in for 698,000, and Pahuja called.

Stefanski: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Pahuja: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

"I guess it's cooler time," Pahuja sighed.

Jankowski then mentioned that he folded a jack, and the board ran out {5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

Stefanski doubled to 1.491 million chips, while Pahuja dropped to 590,000.

After the hand, Pahuja told Jankowski that he was out of line for saying that he folded a jack, calling it "common poker etiquette."

Jankowski, who meant nothing by it, apologized.

Matos Rips Off a King

Nicholas Palma opened to 50,000 on the button, Joe Matos three-bet jammed for 261,000 from the big blind, and Palma made the call.

Palma: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Matos: {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop was clean, and so too was the {3-Spades} on the turn, but the {k-Spades} gave Matos a winning pair of kings.

He doubled to 544,000 chips, while Palma slipped to 520,000.

Jeff Blake - 10th Place
Jeff Blake - 10th Place

Jeff Blake opened to 53,000 from the hijack seat, Andrew Sherman-Ash defended his big blind, and the flop fell {4-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Sherman-Ash checked, Blake moved all in for 235,000, and Sherman-Ash tank-called.

Blake: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Sherman-Ash: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The turn was the {7-Clubs}, giving Sherman-Ash a straight, and Blake could only survive if one of the two remaining eights in the deck fell on the river.

It was not to be as the {2-Clubs} completed the board, eliminating Blake in 10th place.
